I'm not lying when I say it is really hot here...or exaggerating. It's been over 100 twenty-seven times this summer. Yesterday, the only part of the country hotter than where we are was in the desert. (I always get desert and dessert mixed up, so I hope I used the right one=)

Had a great time with our family. Another visit on Friday. Luke is flying in for the week-end. It's so nice to have family around!

We went over to an older couple's house Sunday for lunch. There was another older couple there and then a couple our age. I'm hoping that we'll start to get to know some people. One of the older guys found out Zack plays banjo and so he invited us over and some other musicians from church for a gospel/bluegrass pickin' at his place next Sunday night. I think Zack is very excited for an excuse to get the ol' banjo out.

I'm posting again...already. I just had so many cute pictures!! The past few days have been fun! Wed. Conner and I went swimming at our friend Cari's Neighborhood pool. Conner loved it!! The baby pool had a fountain and everything. Here he is playing with the grass. Grass provides unlimited entertainment.

Zack's Mom and four of the boys decided to come down last minute. They arrived yesterday and will be staying until Monday. It has been so great to have them! Today we went to Chuckee Cheese. Conner loved it. I put him one of the little rides. He didn't really like it when it was moving, but when it stopped he loved it. I think he would have stayed on it the whole time we were there. We swam this afternoon and then walked down the street and got snow cones. Definitely my kind of day!

I love Clifford!!

We had a great Firecracker Day! The weather was pleasant and we got to hang out with some friends. A friend of ours and her husband recently moved here for school. I'm so excited to have someone I know here...someone I can call to go shopping with or someone we can go out to dinner with. Conner loved being outside and the fireworks didn't scare him. We packed a picnic complete with mozzarella, tomato, basil and pesto sandwiches and headed out early so we could get a good seat. Zack made some homemade lemonade that turned out perfect! The 4th of July concert and fireworks were at a park by the river downtown. There were probably about 100,000 people there! It was probably the best firework show I ever saw and I didn't miss the mosquitoes that always accompany the fireworks at Beaverfork.

Conner and I have been enjoying the pool lately. I'm getting spoiled to have a pool close by. I love to sneak down there and read on days when Zack is home and Conner is asleep.

We went to see Wall-E last week. There is a chain of Theaters here called the Alamo Drafthouse that have "Baby Day" every Tuesday on movies before 2 pm. It's the coolest place where you can watch a movie and order food and drinks while you watch. We had a blast...Conner was kinda fussy, but it was fun.

Fun with our toy...

What a cutie face. That kid just won't smile for the camera. He just stares at it.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I've always thought little tiny babies had such sweet helpless little cries. Conner is no longer in that category. Lately, he has started a screeching, stubborn cry when he doesn't get his way. He wants what he wants...it's starting already and he's only 5 mo.

Still has not been sleeping well...he got up at midnight, 1:30-2:00, and 5 am. One of these days I just know he's going to surprise me and sleep.
