Tuesday, September 02, 2008 It's 2 AM...do you know where your lunatic is?Well, maybe it wasn't so bad as this, but there was this guy outside in the parking lot a minute ago, yelling for Misty. I don't know who Misty is, or why he couldn't get into his apartment (if he was even supposed to be in there, for all I know he was like a stalker or something), but I was like half asleep and am just now thinking about it. He yelled up to me in some vague way like "Hey guy!"...look, at 2 AM, clearly state what your beef is to me, so I can process it without much trouble. The only reason I'm up is because I got it into my head to go back up through the final dungeon of FF IV (DS version) to fight Zeromus....which I shouldn't have tried to do at the time of the night I did since it's a long trek, and I'm tired. :PBefore you yell miiIIISSssSSSTY!!!!!111 think about what time it is. Unless it's freaking an emergency or something take a minute to actually explain what you're talking about. Actually, had he been more polite, my brain probably would have paused in front of the window for a minute...like "Excuse me! Could'st though helpeth one such as I posthaste, benevolent sir?" Next time, take the key out with you, better yet. Who in the bloody hell goes out at this time of night WITHOUT their keys? I mean, I did that a time or two, true, but that was when I first moved in here. I never forget my keys anymore, in fact I check a couple of times probably even when I KNOW that I have them, just to make sure before I close my door. Anyway, I feel a tired ramble coming on, my brain is closing up shop again, so goodbye. Have fun. It's been real. German way of saying goodbye. Aurevoir! Bye! Thursday, August 28, 2008 Jet LagUrgh...I had to get up so I could go into work for the early shift, at 6:30 AM. I'm so not used to that, and even though I tried to get to bed sooner to get more sleep, it didn't work. I feel pretty sleepy right now. I took a short nap, but I'm not sure if it helped or made things worse...I feel even more blah now.I wish I had tommorow off, but I have to go in at 11 AM, another weird shift I don't have usually. Monday, August 25, 2008 Monkeying with the WiiI decided to do it!First, I used AnyRegion Changer to install System Menu v3.2 U. See, I'd already updated to v3.3... Why do that? Well, then I can install Starfall, which patches the system menu to be region free with everything, such as channels, which is the most convenient way of playing the japanese channel I'll download. Apparently there is little danger....if I install a newer system menu, it'll just overwrite the patch is all. Having the japanese channel in the menu won't cause any problems, it just won't boot up when I click start on it. Anyway, still waiting for it to download/install everything to do with system menu v3.2. It's taking a few minutes, but the process is totally automated, and easy as pie with that application. You can use it to install system menus of other regions (which, if you make sure that you change over the other settings) turns your Wii into essentially a Wii from another region, but you need to be way more careful doing that, and I don't need to do it anyway, so I can just click on "Go" for the install System Menu v2.2 U menu choice. *edit* Ok, now I'm ready for Starfall. It was much quicker than downgrading. Just make sure your read and understand everything carefully. I chose to patch the Channel regions, as well as the System Rescue Menu (tm) to work to boot any disc. That one is minor, but it could come in handy to be able to automagically boot discs, for recovery purposes. Didn't change any of the other settings. Now, to go back to AnyRegion Changer....I tweaked the Shop Channel region (Country codes here), and that was about it. Now, I went back to the Shop Channel, it pretty much said to me "Oh...the region is different, Ok then." and let me right in. A lot of the channel was still in English, besides the names of the games of course. I bought and download Rondo of Blood, went back to AnyRegion and changed my Shop Channel back, went and tried out the channel. It works great, and it was legitimately purchased. ;) Which is what I wanted, instead of pirating it or something. ZOMG!I guess I should be responsible and say that if you are not absolutely sure of what this application does, or the possible ramifications, etc etc, DO NOT USE IT.AnyRegion Changer This is exactly something I wanted. See, I was thinking before that I would absolutely love to download a couple of titles from the Japanese shop channel. I was at one point thinking about trying to find a WAD from the update partition of a japanese Wii disc with the Japanese shop channel. Had it worked like I thought, I'd have been able to download Japanese stuff, if not, I'd just have to uninstall it. Well, apparently it doesn't work as I thought it did, but there is an easy way to get it to work without having to monkey around with the Japanese channel. This app can selectively change your region settings, including the country the Shop Channel uses. You can even use the same Wii Points you use for the US channel. Now, to get the channel to load up after downloading I'll have to use one of the system menu patchers (the permanent Starfall, or the temporary MenuLoader), but still...awesome. And for anyone wondering, I was thinking of buying Akumajo Dracula: Rondo of Blood. Friday, August 22, 2008 Errata?I'm having a petty decent day, but boy, glad to be home. See, I planned on cashing my checks (had this week's and last week's paychecks to cash) as well as get groceries. This went without a hitch, but I hurt my foot the other day coming home from work (I was going down the hill near my apartment, the grass was somehow amazingly slick...dew maybe...and I slipped. My leg bent, and my foot kinda bent underneath me). It was slow going, with me going OW every few steps, plus today was one of the warmest days in a week. -_- Also, I ended up buying like $60 - $70 in groceries as I hadn't bought anything in two or three weeks (that wasn't particularly fun to carry home, since I walk :P). I guess it was a stock up week. I also bought a BLT sub, which was an amazing lunch.I've been doing WiiFit since I just got the balance board back, though I only did it for two days before I hurt my foot. Yesterday I skipped it since my foot hurt like hell, but today it felt better enough for me to do a little bit...amazingly, it told me I had lost like six pounds from yesterday until today. How is that possible? I could explain a way a few, apparently the body's weight tends to fluctuate a couple of pounds each day from water weight, things like that, but well....maybe doing the exercise kicked my metabolism back up a bit, from the weeks of not doing much exercise? If so, amazing. Anyway, glad today has been mostly low-key. Yesterday was a good day too, but it was a little bit of a long day. I was hanging out with some friends for a lot of the day, then I watched my neices for awhile later on. So by the time I had the house to myself, though the day had been pretty good, I was happy to have the place to myself, heh. Today is a day mostly for me. :P Not doing much now....I was napping. laying down and putting my foot up, and now I've ended up watching a 'Monk' marathon. Have never really watched the show, but this show seems pretty cool actually. I really do love a good "whodunnit" story I guess.
