Welina mai kakou!  Thanks for the e-mails some of you sent me about stories that have happened to you that are right on up there with my "thought to be homeless" story.  I gotta say...some of you had some really funny things...you guys are weird!  LOL!  Nah nah...just joke.  I not going say names, but there were three stories that had me just rolling on the floor laughing.  One was somebody mistaking a friend of mine for Jasmine Trias.  It's only funny when you consider the fact that she hates Jasmine, and the fact that she didn't want to embarrass the person by saying she wasn't.  So...to you...my Jasmine look-alike...how'd it feel to sign a autograph?  LOL!!!  Another story was about a guy who went to a funeral at a traditional Japanese Hongwanji Mission only to find that he was at completely the wrong one after two hours of spacing out in the temple.  And the third was about a girl who was talking smack about a prof. at UH based on rumors (she had never met him before).  Turns out...being new to the school means that you could be talking smack about your Prof. to your Prof!  LOL!  KC, you need to be more careful...if any of you know who KC is...pretend you don't.  Mahalo!

Well...i guess that's it for me right now.  I gotta go ice down my knees.  Not having job, for me, means that I have more time to devote to hula.  Unfortunately...that brings along with it all the pain of Laka's wrath!  LOL!  It seems my knees can't take kelelei for long periods of time anymore.  SAD!  Oh well!  What can you do?  A'ohe pilikia!

Makemake wau e mahalo aku ia 'oukou no ka 'oukou heluhelu ana mai.  E ola mau ka 'olelo Hawai'i.  No laila, a hui hou kakou a me na akua e ho'opomaika'i 'ia kakou no ka pono o ka lahui.  E pili mau no pomaika'i me 'oukou.  E malama pono 'oukou i ko 'oukou kino.  Aloha...a hui hou i ka wa pono.

Do I Look Homeless???

Aloha mai kakou!  Have I got a story for all of you.  I should feel offended at what happened...but it was just too funny.  Early this morning, my grandmother, my mother, and I went down to the Pearl City Shopping Center.  It was gramma's bowling day, and mom went to a hair appointment at a Salon.  Anywayz...I took the car and went to go run some errands.  They didn't take as long as expected so I got back a little early.  That's when it happened.

I parked the car right in front of the American Savings Bank...Pearl City Branch.  I got out of the car, and sat on the rock wall right in front of the bank.  After about 20 minutes of waiting for my mother to finish her a appointment, this old lady walks up to me and hands me some money.  She thought I was homeless!  LOL!  I don't know what the hell she was thinking.  Ok...granted...I may not have been wearing new clothes...but she HAD to be slightly vision impaired.  I guess she didn't notice the gold chain I had around my neck, the gold ring on my finger, the cell phone and car keys I had in my hands, or leather jacket that was sitting next to me.

When that happened...I had to laugh.  I couldn't stop laughing actually.  It was fricking hilarious!  I couldn't take her money...it wouldn't have been right...but I guarantee I could've handled it a hell of a lot worse.

Leave me a comment and tell me how you would have responded.  It truly was a once in a life-time occurence.

Well...that's it for me...take care everybody!

'Ano'ai Kakou!

Well, it is now about 10:20pm on Tuesday, June 15th 2004.  [*kneels down*]  Forgive me father, for I have sinned...I have neglected my Xanga.  It's been about a month since my last update  [*stands up*].  That being said, the irony is that I'm not Catholic or Lutheran.  Oh well, mei guanxi...it doesn't matter.

Okay, I guess it's finally my turn to write the old "Well, I'm finally home" weblog entry. Never mind the fact that I've been home for two and a half weeks.  So...let's get this show on the road!

Hallelujah! I'm Home!!!

Alright...that being said...I can fill you guys in on what's been going on. Thanks to all you guys who keep my cell phone ringing and my inboxes full...if it wasn't for you guys I would be sufficating beneath my work.  First off, no...as of right now, I do not have a summer job.  Much to my dismay, that doesn't mean that I have time to catch up with old friends.  But on the other hand, I've been having one hell of a time.

For all of you Hawai'i people...I'd like to introduce you all to some people.

These thirteen people were my fellow residence in the west side of the first floor of my building at P.L.U. (ACME named "Thug West").  They were a great bunch...we had people from all kine walks of life.  A hippie from Alaska, a viking from Norway, and people from Japan, Korea, Cuba, and the world of the utter white people!  It definitely was an interesting year...you haven't really lived until you've tried some of the other countries drinking games.  They will mess you up!  Of course, it didn't help that along with them came the smoking games.  After seeing that, I'm glad I don't smoke...I've seen some mighty green people afterwards...LOL!

MOVING ON!

CONGRATS to the Class of 2004!!!

Now that summer is officially in full swing, I can give a blanket congrats to all of the graduates...both Elementary, Intermediate, High School, Undergrad, and Graduate alike.  All of you guys worked hard to get where you are...congrats on making it...you all deserve it!  To Noah, Darian, and Mel:  remember guys...just because you guys are Ph.D.'s now doesn't mean that you guys should be know-it-all's.  Plus...I can still kick all of your asses in Mah Jong!

Almos' Pau!...sorry so long!

Okay...since i've been home...i've been to a few graduations parties and what not. The hell with you all...you guys make me feel so damn old! Screw you! Nah nah...only joke! Nice job on your guys' parties...they were all pretty tight. Anywayz...like I said before...I ain't working. So...that leaves more time for my so called "obligations".  My life has pretty much been filled with my return to hula, reading (Ka Baibala Hemolele -- which is completely uncharacteristic of me), writing proposals for my university, playing secretary/tech for my parents, cleaning, an obscene amount of studying, computer programming, and more and more work.  WORK WORK WORK!!!

Hopefully things will slow down soon, that way I can actually get my life back.  Well...I guess that's it for this installment of our favorite game show "How Much of a Slave Can You Be?!?"  Thank you very much and g'nite!

E malama pono 'oe i kou kino!  A hui hou i ka wa pono!

OH WAIT!!!

Before I lay this entry to rest, I wanted to remind or let everybody out there in Xanga-Land know about Ulukau: The Hawaiian Electronic Library.  For a long time, people have been asking me where they can find Hawaiian language resources.  Yes Bennie "Ball-Tapper", you shmuck, that would be Dolphin-speak resources!".  If you want to find a good Hawaiian language dictionary, read some very old newspapers in Hawaiian, read a Hawaiian book, or even read the Bible in Hawaiian (Baibala Hemolele)...it's all available there.  It's a beautiful set of resources.  I've had the honor of meeting and working with some of these people and they are fantastic people.  They are "Hale Kuamo'o, College of Hawaiian Language and the Native Hawaiian Library, Alu Like, Inc."  It is not nearly as extensive as the U.S. Library of Congress...but it is definitely a valuable thing to have.  PLUS...it is also a beautiful step forward...a step toward the revitalization of our 'olelo makuahine.

Ok...ok...ok...e kala mai ia'u!  That's all I have.  Take care...God bless...Good night!

Aaron's Got His Phone Back!!!

Yes yes yes...that's right sports' fans...A'alona-Mikela is once again in charge of a cellular telephone. When last I wrote, my phone was laid to rest in West Salem, OR...but now...it is back in my possession. Thank God! I would have gone crazy without it. I need it so! Oh...and for all of you who called and left messages on my phone...fear not...I SHALL return your calls.

Anywayz!!!  Today is Saturday, May 8th, 2004 and there are 16 more days until I am free to return to the motherland.  I can't wait.

Today was Ordal Beach Party (OBP)...I didn't go because it was a loud, stupid, annoying, and irrational waste of time!  LOL!!!  So...a friend of mine (and myself) watched Gladiator!

THEN through some very very weird occurences, my name got changed from Aaron (and all assemblences thereof) to simply: Max.  I don't know how that happened...but I kinda like it.  It's simple, doesn't make any sense, and doesn't mean a single thing!  So...when you guys see me...feel free to call me Max.   LOL!!!  This is gonna be very very weird!

Well, I guess that's it for me for right now!  Take care everybody!  I look forward to seeing everybody when I get home.  For all of you here in Washington, make sure I see you sometime in the next two weeks.

GOD BLESS US...EVERYONE!
