| So, I probably should post, just so some people have a new entry to comment under.
I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!
yep, it's this Saturday. I'm excited. Can you tell? | | |
| Once again, time has flown by and it's been forever since my last
post. I really do need to be better at this. I'm letting
all my adoring fans down! ok, so not really.
For all those who don't know yet, I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!! Yes, as of
January 17th, Jenny agreed to be the future Mrs. Trevor. For
those of you finding out this way, I'm sorry it has to be through
xanga, but it's just impossible to try and remember everyone you need
to call and tell. So, planning the wedding and the honeymoon's
been good. I really can't wait to spend the rest of my life with
her. Good times are on the way!!!
Shout out to my Eastridge homies!!! This weekend is the ski
retreat. I am really excited about going. I can't wait to
have fun with the teens, make some good memories, fall down a lot on
the slopes and let them laugh at and/or with me. I'm really
expecting God to do great things in all of our lives, too. I pray
their hearts, the sponsors hearts, and my heart will all be open to
letting God work in the ways only He can.
Well, that's all for now. Catch ya on the flip side!

| UPDATE! Yes, I'm updating (this one's for you, Katie). Since it's been so long, here's another one of my famous brief rundowns of the past couple months. Teaching went fairly well, or as well as can be expected for my first semester doing it AND the first semester that particular class was offered. Lots of headaches, but overall a good experience and I'm looking forward to doing it this next semester. I will miss my students, though, but I get all new ones to torture...I mean teach. Youth group has gone well. We recently had a new year's eve party that was loads of fun, especially when Jenny almost burned down the church. I'm really looking forward to going on the Ski Retreat in February with these teens. My grad classes went well, though I kinda wish I'd done better. I didn't do terribly, but this next semester I really want to be much more disciplined with my time. Well, that's about it for now. Y'all have a great day, and God bless! | | |
| Wow, I really should update this more, huh? Anyway, let's give a quick overview of my life in the past month or so. I'm taking classes, working as a Grad Assistant for the School of Theology, working as a TA for the Christian Formation class which means I actually "teach" four classes, and working as part-time youth pastor for Eastridge Church of the Nazarene. Yeah, that's a lot, but it's been good, though it has taken some getting used to. Not much else to say right now. I just thought I'd clue you all in. God bless! | | |
| I just wanted to take a moment and tell everyone how awesome my girlfriend is. Ok, ready? SHE'S FREAKIN' AMAZING!!!!! Not only is she too good to me and more than I could ever hope or dream, she's just a great person. Last night was the closing program to the VBS she's directed at her church. It was really good, but what impressed me the most was the number of people who really loved her and appreciated all her hard work. And believe me, she's worked hard this summer! But the best part is she just does what God asks of her. That's how she got the job of children's pastor/intern for the summer. She's not a children's ministry major, or even wants to work with children in large numbers (she's more a jr. high age person - good for dating a youth pastor type person ). But this is where God had her for the summer, and He's worked through her in such awesome ways. The kids don't want her to go; the staff want her to stay, too. She simply is the most amazing person I've ever met. And to think...SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!!! That, to me, is a miracle. | | |
