these are just a few of the many theories/comments that have been expressed regarding the "you're fired" joint (which is now available for download at abcjin.com btw) that recently hit the net. let me end the speculation. i did it because, that's just what i do. some so-called comedians tell ching chong jokes. i go to the studio and write rhymes. bingo bango. everyone has their own perspective of what it is so, so be it. i just thought i'd let you hear it from the horses mouth. moving right along...
i'm pretty damn excited about the release of this ABC album. you can go to the website (simply click on the banner at the top of the page) and get an in-depth explanation of what the project is about but i don't think that even fully captures what a monumental accomplishment this is for me personally. i've been asked multiple times early in my career if i would ever be recording an album in Cantonese and i always kind of answered nonchalantly with a, "we'll see." now, to see the project go from being just a whimsical idea to actually have it come to fruition is quite a thrill.
what kind of impact will it make? who knows. if nothing else, it can be another album for this kid to add to his crafty collection.
as some of you may know, many, many moons ago i once had a xanga page. it was quite the bombdiggidy.
as i was searching high and low for a home for my abcjin.comblogging necessities it occured to me that the most obvious place was also the most ideal.
so here we are, full circle. follow me as i prepare for the release of my first ever Cantonese project.
to celebrate the upcoming launch of abcjin.com as well as the release of the ABC album (In Stores 2/20/07), i decided to upload a new jam for ya'll to check out.
