Because of the recent tragic events regarding Hurricane Katrina, we have received many e-mails and phone calls requesting more information about the prophecy given by Kim Clement on July 22, 2005 in Houston, TX. The following letter from Kim should clarify his position on the prophecy, and other details that have been requested. Of course, what came out in the prophecy was chilling, even then to those that heard the word that night, not knowing all that this prediction could possibly entail.
Not only was the secret regarding an impending disaster revealed, but it was noted in the prophecy to be given in order to "strengthen" those that heard, and even suggested that it was a sign to precede a time of a great promise from God for the United States in August, September, and October of this year- 2005.

On July 22nd, 2005, while in Texas ministering, I received a word from the Spirit which was spoken publicly at Christian Life Center in Humble, TX. Here is the word:
Servants of God; Gatekeepers of New Orleans:
"Enough of past curses reminding you of yesterday’s failures. Enough of New Orleans and its treachery. Enough of stealing the Ark of the Covenant from my people just because you had those surrounding you that had no faith. Caleb said "we are able to take this land;" Joshua said "we are able to take this land." But ten voices arose against the Lord God. And they would stone my servant Moses and say let us stone them and raise up another leader so that we may go back to Egypt. Would you go back to your dung? Would you go back to your vomit?
O New Orleans God speaks to you from Houston tonight and says enough of this! For a judgment is coming says the Spirit of the Lord, and I will take the men that have stood in faith, raise them above the flood that shall destroy those that constantly bicker and stand against my servant Moses, or my servant Bilbo. I want you to understand there are great men in New Orleans that have faith, but you have been set aside not to lose but to win. Enough of this! For I will take the curses and the bodies will even rise and they will come forth on the water, but I will keep you and the stench of death will only last a few days. And then what I promised two years ago will come to pass for August, September and October of this year I made a promise it would happen, and God said be strengthened now, be strengthened now, for enough is enough says the Lord."

Very seldom have I have been given the duty of delivering a word that entails judgment to a region or to a person, so when I heard what God spoke in July, I realized that this was going to be an extremely serious catastrophe. I was disturbed that night but kept my feelings to myself, wondering how I should pray about this. I love New Orleans, and had been there a number of times. My dear friend, Pastor Garland Bilbo, who had hosted my ministry a number of times was present in the meeting that night, and God even referred to him in the prophecy. His family had been a target of attack during the eighties and suffered persecution from religious forces during the Nineties due to a public scandal in their family. This prophecy is one of the most accurate that I have ever been given and yet it almost sounded like God was about to deal with the Gatekeepers and spiritual leaders of New Orleans rather than the sinners of that City.
A part of the prophecy that concerned me was the fact that the flood would destroy those that constantly bicker and stand against my servant Moses (or my servant Bilbo.) I did not truly believe that these people would be destroyed in the flood but rather the waters would rid the City of the curses and bring an end to discord and divisive leaders. For God to refer to "Moses" spoke volumes to me. Moses was taking the people from a mindset of captivity and oppression into a land of "PROMISE" and yet the people (God's people) were bent on going back or even destroying the "voice" that represented God's intention for a better and glorious life on earth for the slaves who were actually born to be Kings. Remember Israel went from being Kings to becoming slaves because THEY SOLD THEIR PROPHETIC VOICE - JOSEPH. Joseph represented the prophetic voice amidst the family of God - He dreamed and saw the future. Eventually they sold this prophetic voice to the slave traders not realizing that wherever they sent the prophetic voice, they were destined to follow.
God is a God of love, and there is no doubt that we are living in a period of grace. However, I also noted that when a fig tree was not producing fruit, Jesus cursed it and it died from the roots. A root is defined as "the basic cause, source or origin of something; a descendant - The root of David; The essential nature of something." Sometimes God has to cut off the source of "nourishment" to bring an end to a fruitless tree. What disturbed me even further was the fact that God used the following words to describe the depth of this act of nature; "I will take the curses and the bodies will even rise and they will come forth on the water." I realized that He was saying that the curses would rise, and as a result human bodies would rise and come forth on the water. I know that the two are related because curses bring death and God was saying that it was the end of an era of "death" over the region of New Orleans. Water speaks of judgment but also speaks of cleansing. "Enough of this, enough of this" was proclaimed by God and he was refusing them access to the past "vomit" of criticism, tearing each other down and divisiveness. Louisiana was the focus of attention, nationally and internationally in the Eighties and even the Nineties, and God was saying that he would not allow this to continue; it only produces death.
In an attempt to bring revival to Louisiana and the Nation, a wonderful group of people in Baton Rouge prophetically proclaimed their prayer to God and began to draw young people together annually in a gathering called "Deluge". I don't think they realized the depth of their cries to God. I ministered only once and my message that night was "The other side". It's time to cross over to the other side and the only way that Jesus could get his Disciples to the other side was across the water through a raging storm. The day that I was to fly into Baton Rouge I was stranded at the airport with my wife for hours because of heavy rains in Baton Rouge. We arrived at the meeting just on time, and even though some of my team did not make it in because of the outpouring of rain, we ministered to thousands of young people. I went to my hotel that night realizing that they were prophesying to Louisiana just before the famous "Mardi Gras."
The word Deluge means "A severe flood, a great quantity of something arriving at the same time; from the latin word deluvium, the word "diluere" means "WASH AWAY."
During my prophetic utterance in July, I stated the time of the year that this would take place: "August, September and October of this year."
I had no joy hearing of the devastations as news came to America of the dreaded "Katrina" and I found myself in a state of mourning and tears. On the Sunday night before the hurricane hit Louisiana and the surrounding States, I was conducting my Hollywood meeting in California, and played the prophecy to the people and we gathered around the altar and prayed for God's mercy. I think He was more merciful than we realize.
I pray for strength upon the people of these States, especially those who have lost everything. God said to "be strengthened".

CONTACT THE FDA: A major drug company is asking the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's permission to sell Plan B, a so-called emergency contraceptive, over the counter -- without requiring a doctor's prescription. Plan B is also known as a "morning-after" pill. It is reported that a decision will be made prior to Sept. 1.
The company, Barr Laboratories, says Plan B "prevents pregnancy." However, that statement is based on deception. Plan B can act to take the life of a tiny preborn baby in the first days after fertilization. This, of course, is not contraception. It is abortion.
ACTION: Please contact the commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and tell him the government must NOT permit this dangerous drug to be sold over the counter. Furthermore, demand that this product be removed from the marketplace altogether. Please forward this message to your friends and relatives and ask them to do the same.

Recently, Rock for Life made an unexpected appearance at an MTV Campus Invasion hosted by Radford University in Virginia. MTV, with a rather en vogue entourage, is traveling to different campuses all over the country promoting safe sex, abortion, and birth control—everything a student needs to make his or her four years in college an unhealthy success. The Campus Invasion is sponsored by various clothing, music and entertainment companies (Old Navy, H).
RFL made sure that a positive alternative (the truth) was provided.
Accompanying the Campus Invasion are the bands Third Eye Blind and Eve 6. 3EB's frontman, singer Stephan Jenkins, summed up exactly what this tour was all about (sexual irresponsibility) when he passed out 500 condoms to the Siena College audience in N.Y. after school officials had prohibited their distribution at the Sexual Health tent.
At Radford University, RFL presented an exhibit booth near the Campus Invasion "village" with information covering abstinence and the travesty of chemical and surgical abortion. RFL wanted to let these college students know that abortion and promiscuity should not be considered "sexual health."
The Campus Invasion is just another example of the sick, twisted morals that MTV pushes on young people!

Rock for Choice (R4C)
Started by the all-female rock band L7, Rock for Choice was founded to support safe (no such thing) and legal abortion. The group organizes and sponsors concerts across the country featuring the pro-death music of artists such as Pearl Jam, the Foo Fighters, Soul Asylum, Nirvana and Hole (just to name a few), raises funds for Planned Parenthood and promotes the murder of children in the womb. In keeping with the culture of death's campaign to destroy morality and promote mindlessness among the youth of this country, Rock for Choice decided that "the young people needed to be aware of the situation (the dwindling right to choose) and given a course of action." There they go again, forcing their immoral, murderous beliefs down our throats. Notice, they want to "give" us a course of action (support murder) and tell us what to believe. Any way, you may also find it interesting that R4C falls under the Feminist Majority, the liberal, pro-death organization that oversees and supports it. They call us (pro-lifers) "fanatics" and "freaks" which, of course, is supposed to make them all the more appealing and, in this age of automation, they have their own webpage (check out the lies). The fundamental flaw in this whole message is that R4C and the dark side rant and rave about being "pro-choice," but are they really? The only option or choice they offer and accept is the right to commit murder, to kill the child in the womb. If they're so "pro-choice" why don't they give any of the money they raise to adoption services or homes for unwed mothers? Why don't they support groups that provide alternatives to abortion if they really care and really want "choice?" When will they understand that there is only one, true choice—life!

"My one vote won't make a difference." How many times have you heard that line? As U.S. citizens, our greatest responsibility involves determining the future of our country. Whether you can vote now or will be able to in the near future, it is important to remember that electing representatives who mirror our Christian beliefs, is not just a Constitutional right — it is an obligation. If you believe that one vote doesn't make a difference, here's some info on what the other side is doing to make sure that their pro-death candidates are elected. The Voters for Choice (VFC) organization supports candidates who believe in a woman's right to have an abortion. Founded in 1979 by Gloria Steinem and Planned Parenthood (alarms should be going off in your head right about now), Voters for Choice sponsors pro-abortion benefit concerts, trains candidates to uphold, defend and legislate pro-abortion laws, assists with voter identification services, and provides endorsements and financial assistance for pro-abortion candidates. VFC concerts and events feature such artists as Pearl Jam, Joan Osborne, Ani DiFranco, the Indigo Girls and Phish, and provide an opportunity for some of death's greatest supporters to stand up and voice their feelings on abortion, sexual freedom and political correctness. The Indigo Girls summed up the group's thinking at a concert in 1993. "We are talking about an issue of women's rights. A woman's right to make choices concerning her own body should be protected, not prevented by law." Translation: Keep abortion legal. Ignore the rights of the child in the womb. Let the killing continue. If the artists, politicians and supporters of VFC took a step back and looked at the whole picture, maybe they'd catch on to the fact that this organization isn't about protecting constitutional rights. It isn't about making their sad, tortured voices heard. It's about promoting Planned Parenthood's industry. It's about ensuring that the blood money continues to flow. It's about killing babies. And it's all based on the premise that one vote does matter.

THEY WANT YOUR MONEY AND YOUR MIND!!! Planned Parenthood. Hmmm. Isn't that the group that helps keep teens healthy in their sexual relationships? Aren't they the ones that teach teens to respect their own sexuality and the sexuality of others? Don't they educate and inform young people of all the dangers of sexual promiscuity? That's an organization that does a lot of good, isn't it?? NOT QUITE!! Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortion and birth control to young people in this country. See, whether you know a little or a lot about Planned Parenthood, most likely you've been fooled into thinking that they do good work. That's what has made Planned Parenthood so powerful. For over 60 years, Planned Parenthood has worked to convince young people and adults that contraception is something as simple and as healthy as brushing our teeth, and abortion is a procedure as normal as a physical checkup. Hundreds of thousands of people really believe that Planned Parenthood has the answers to teen pregnancy and disease. These lies have made a mighty healthy profit for Planned Parenthood. They cashed in over $50 million on the sale of abortion and birth control to teenagers just last year. But don't expect them to tell you about the damage they've done - the millions of children who have been killed by surgical abortion and the millions more who have been murdered through chemical abortions caused by birth control (the pill, Norplant, Depo-provera, etc.), the hundreds of thousands of people who suffer from sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) and AIDS because they bought the phony "safe sex" message that Planned Parenthood promotes, and the millions of women who now suffer from the fact that they had a part in killing their own children. I could go on and on. Planned Parenthood's sick agenda has done more damage than we can possibly imagine!! Isn't it about time you saw Planned Parenthood as they really are?
How Did This All Start?
Planned Parenthood 's founder was a woman by the name of Margaret Sanger. She was a racist, a bigot, and a supporter of Hitler's ethnic cleansing programs. She was also a believer in eugenics -- trying to improve the qualities of a particular race of people by not allowing those with "undesirable qualities" to have children. For example, someone with an IQ below a certain level or someone with a genetic disease would not be allowed to have children. Mrs. Sanger believed that women who raise children have a shallow existence and was very opposed to the idea of a traditional family within marriage. She once stated that the "most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Mrs. Sanger also engaged in many affairs outside of her two marriages. She did not have faith in God, and she detested all who did. Margaret Sanger's horrifying beliefs and ideals about sexuality, abortion, birth control, and family have definitely carried over into the work of Planned Parenthood today. What are they teaching you? Planned Parenthood's ideas on sex, family, homosexuality, birth control and abortion go against everything the Catholic Church teaches and what most Christians believe. But their message is often so subtle that we fail to see the evil and perverted messages Planned Parenthood is pushing. - Planned Parenthood teaches that homosexuality is a perfectly natural lifestyle. Jesus teaches that homosexual behavior is perverted, unnatural and sinful, and it's extremely harmful causing disease, heartache and spiritual disaster. - Planned Parenthood believes that teen pregnancy is a problem, but that sex before marriage is okay. In fact, they encourage young people to start having sex whenever they're "ready," just as long as they use condoms and other birth control. And, if young people do get pregnant, Planned Parenthood will be there to provide an abortion. Jesus teaches us that sex belongs inside marriage - that within marriage it is a unique expression of intimacy and closeness helping to bring new life into the world. Outside of marriage, sex is destructive and unnatural. Neither our hearts nor our bodies were made to handle the physical, emotional, or spiritual harm that comes with sex before marriage. Jesus teaches that sex needs to be open to the creation of life (all birth control is wrong!!), and that children are a gift from God. Planned Parenthood believes that most teenagers will eventually start having sex, so we should prepare them with protection. They believe young people will eventually give in to their sexual desires. Jesus teaches that you can overcome any temptation through His grace and the power of the Holy Spirit. We are created in the image and likeness of God. We have self control and reason. We are not animals!
How Do They Fool Us?
Planned Parenthood's lies have been accepted by so many people because they are masters at manipulating us with catch phrases, words and ideas that are not supported by real facts. One phrase they use over and over again is "safe sex." The only safe sex is between married couples who don't use birth control. There is no such thing as safe sex for single people. All the condoms and pills in the world can't protect you from STD's, AIDS, and pregnancy. That's a FACT! And, there is absolutely nothing that can protect you from the spiritual and emotional pain that comes with sex before marriage. Planned Parenthood wants us to believe that sex can be safe outside of marriage because they cash in millions selling birth control and abortion to us. Planned Parenthood refers to abortion as "removing the contents of the uterus." What??? They make killing a child in the womb sound as simple as having your tonsils removed. They never refer to a child or baby when talking about abortion. They want us to be indifferent and numb when we think about abortion, because they don't want us to say anything about it. They want us to be quiet, so they can keep going about their business. Sexually transmitted diseases are described by Planned Parenthood as "sexually transmitted infections." Diseases like HPV (warts), chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes and syphilis can cause sterility, painful side effects and can stay with you for the rest of your life. They don't sound like simple infections to me! Planned Parenthood wants us to believe that these diseases aren't a big deal, because if we really knew the dangers, we might choose to abstain. Bottom line is that Planned Parenthood doesn't care about you, your health or your future. They care about their sick agenda and their big money! Keep your eyes open! Planned Parenthood wants your money and your mind.

Planned Parenthood's Allies
In keeping with this section's theme, we decided to highlight a few groups that treat sex as nothing more than a good time with no consequences. The movement since the 1960s has been towards sex without responsibility. Safe sex outside of marriage. A whole blitzkreig of organizations have swarmed across our country promoting sex education, safe sex, sexual freedom, etc. They focus on teaching you everything there is to know about sex and its abuse by the time you're, oh, around five years old. In case you don't believe me, here's an excerpt from one of Planned Parenthood's pamphlets:
By age five, children should:
Use correct terms for all sexual body parts, including the reproductive organs.
Be able to ask trusted adults questions about sexuality
Understand the concept that a woman does not have to have a baby unless she wants to.
Anyway, as much material as Planned Parenthood provides us with, there are several other groups out there that deserve our attention as well. The National Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting and Prevention is a personal favorite and we'll devote a whole Dark Side to them in the future, but for now you should know that they support sex education starting in kindergarten and mandatory sterilization for everyone until age twenty-one. A few other key players in the "make sex seem safe" game? Kaiser Permanente and the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE)—oh yes, they're in your schools! The Center for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (a program of the Family Health Council., Inc.) has a group called the Teen Peer Education Program. Teen presenters play games with the audience focusing on the correct way to use a condom, STD identification, icebreakers in talking about sex, and sexual knowledge. The games are interactive and funny (funny-strange? or funny-ha-ha?) and everybody feels just a little more comfortable about having sex outside of marriage when the presentation is over. Yes, the list is long, distinguished and warped. Believe it or not, these groups, and many more like them, don't have your best interests in mind and don't have a handle on the truth. The facts of the matter are that five-year old kids don't need to know all the facts of life, there is no such thing as "safe sex" outside of marriage and abstinence is the way to go.

Zero Population Growth (ZPG)
In keeping with the theme of this month's newsletter, we're focusing on one of the many groups intent on removing all traces of mankind from the face of the earth. ZPG sums up their approach to depopulation with the following mission statement:
Zero Population Growth is a national nonprofit organization working to slow population growth and achieve a sustainable balance between the Earth's people and its resources. We seek to protect the environment and ensure a high quality of life for present and future generations. ZPG's education and advocacy programs aim to influence public policies, attitudes, and behavior on national and global population issues and related concerns.
Doesn't seem too bad. However, once you stumble your way through the big words and official-sounding phrases, the statement translates into: ZPG is receiving a tax break for working to limit the earth's population by any means necessary. Reducing the population through birth control, abortion and who knows what else, will ensure that there are trees for the purple winged sapsucker to nest in and that the few people lucky enough to be born in the future will have everything they want excluding family, friends, co-workers, etc. Using buzz phrases like global population challenge, habitable planet, sustainable society, environmental catastrophe, wanted child and population stabilization, ZPG clouds the real issues, tosses truth out the window like a banana peel and wraps its message of death and destruction in the abstract, surgical cloak of doublespeak. They have a game plan, too. Make killing off the earth's future population cool, logical and attractive. A recent ZPG benefit concert in New York had Jewel, Paula Cole, Judy Collins and a few other popular artists, raising funds to keep ZPG's agenda of annihilation going strong. Most of the people attending the concert probably had no idea where the money was going and you'd think that the artists featured would be concerned about the size of their future audiences (and profits) if the population is cut in half! Then again, foresight has never been a trademark of the liberal left or the Dark side. United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
Everybody's heard of the United Nations (U.N.). They're constantly sending peacekeeping forces around the world to promote so-called democracy, freedom, and an agenda that includes birth control, abortion, and population control. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is a subsidiary of the United Nations General Assembly, and they've got some pretty anti-life philosophies and actions lined up to cut back the world's population. This particular Dark Side was sparked by the UN's World Population Day, held on July 11. The event started a countdown to October 12, 1999, the day chosen to symbolize when the world's population will pass six billion. Instead of ranting and raving about what we perceive the UNFPA to be, we'll give you a few of their statements so you can see exactly what they're pushing.
Press release from the U.N. Secretary-General on World Population Day: "Six billion is also a challenge. Today there are over a billion young people between 15 and 24 years of age. Their decisions about the size and spacing of their families will determine how many people will be on the planet by 2050 and beyond. Their decisions will also help determine how they live in poverty or prosperity; on a green and healthy planet or in a world devastated by human activities." (Translation: the faster the U.N. gets rid of most of the people on earth and prevents anyone else from showing up here, the better off the forests, the whales, and the few survivors will be.)

Press release, New York, 8 April—The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), working with UNHCR and other U.N. agencies, is today sending emergency reproductive health kits, including equipment for safe deliveries and emergency contraceptives for rape victims, to Albania to help Kosovo refugees. The emergency reproductive health kit includes contains the following subkits:
Oral and indictable contraception kit - intended for women who have been using contraception or wish to begin using it;
Intrauterine devices (IUD) kit - to place and remove IUDs;
Condoms
Vacuum extraction equipment—used by medical personnel at assisted deliveries; (note: this is used to perform suction aspiration abortion, the preferred method of abortion in the first trimester)

Refuse & Resist! (R&R!) was founded in 1987 to fight President Ronald Reagan's "Resurgent America" program—intended as a "moral awakening of the nation." The founders of R&R! saw this movement as "a fundamentalist, right-wing morality imposed by the state as the vehicle to crush nonconformist behavior-political, social and cultural." Which non-conformist behaviors? Primarily, according to R&R!, women's reproductive rights (the right to kill children in the womb). R&R! says "the actual ability of women to obtain abortion is methodically stripped away through gangster action, parental consent, waiting periods, and the denial of government funding." Sounds rough, but in actuality, the U.S. has made the ability of a woman to obtain an abortion, one of the most accessible and protected rights of this century! The killing of innnocent children has no limitations! Parental consent and waiting periods are different around the country and are avoidable simply by meeting with a judge or driving across state lines. And . . . government funding of abortion, both in the U.S. and overseas, fluctuates slightly and may have some restrictions, but it never stops! Just last January, Hillary Clinton announced that $4.1 million would be designated for abortion clinics to install security systems, bullet proof glass, and other protective measures. And when R&R! uses the word "gangsters," they're talking about the pro-life heroes who have closed down numerous clinics simply through their legal, prayerful, peaceful presence at abortion mills across the country. One of the most frightening aspects of Refuse & Resist! is their R&R! Youth Network. Unbelievably, some of the young people, who were threatened in the womb by legalized abortion, are now actively fighting for its continued legalization under the guise of reproductive freedom. And . . . as if their unwavering support of killing little children wasn't enough, R&R! also stands firmly against "Christian fundamentalist demands for family values" (a belief in God, chastity, faithful marriages, etc.) They describe Christian family values as anti- woman, with "compulsory child bearing and domestic servitude elevated as ideals." Ouch! As a fanatical, activist organization, R&R! has lead numerous protests and demonstrations across the country (often sparking violence), supports and organizes the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers and will use any means they deem necessary to keep pro-lifers away from the abortion mills. And now, R & R! is using bands like Rage Against The Machine (as well as other musicians, artists, and prominent figures) to support and spread their message of hate and murder. March of Dimes
Established in 1938 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the March of Dimes (MOD) is a national voluntary health agency developed to put an end to polio and improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. They accomplish this through research programs, community services, education, and advocacy. Seems good at first glance, and we can't deny the fact that they have done some great things, but it's their hidden abortion agenda and contradictory stance on human life that has landed them on The Dark Side. In 1972 the March of Dimes pioneered the technique of diagnostic, mid-trimester amniocentesis. This technique is used to obtain a sample of the fluid surrounding a pre- born baby (during the middle of the pregnancy) to determine if the child has a genetic disease such as Down's Syndrome or Spina Bifida. In cases where it's determined that the child has a genetic disease they are often aborted—about 95% of these babies are killed by surgical abortion (termed by MOD as "therapeutic abortion."). While serving on the March of Dimes' Medical Service Advisory Committee, Henry Foster admitted to doing nearly 700 abortions after amniocentesis revealed genetic problems. MOD is also pro-abortion when it comes to babies inside the womb of a mother who has triplets or more. In a paper entitled, "Fetal Reduction and Selective Termination in Multi- Fetal Pregnancy," March of Dimes stated that you can kill one of the babies in a multiple pregnancy "to allow the birth of a healthy newborn, without the birth of a coexisting fetus with a congenital abnormality." They added that it was okay to selectively kill babies "to reduce a multiple pregnancy to a single pregnancy for social or personal indication." As if that wasn't enough, March of Dimes uses aborted babies for fetal tissue research. MOD gave $19,000 to Dr. John F. S. Crocker of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to study congenital kidney abnormalities. In his study, Dr. Crocker used "60 pairs of embryonic kidneys...obtained from human therapeutic abortions after five to twelve weeks gestation." And this is just one of the many cases where MOD supported using the tissue of babies killed by abortion for research. While claiming a policy of strict neutrality when it comes to abortion, the March of Dimes' actions prove otherwise. Their support for aborting babies with genetic diseases, killing children in a multiple pregnancy, and using these aborted babies for research shows that they are anything but neutral!

Sexuality Information & Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)
Interestingly enough, SIECUS was chartered in 1964 by Dr. Mary S. Calderone, one of the infamous past presidents of Planned Parenthood. This is how SIECUS describes itself :
SIECUS is a 35-year-old nonprofit organization, dedicated to affirming that sexuality is a natural and healthy part of life. SIECUS develops, collects, and disseminates information, promotes comprehensive education and advocates the right of individuals to make responsible sexual choices.
That's just the beginning. SEICUS believes (strongly) that:
Parents need help in educating their children about sexuality
There should be sexuality education in every grade, including pre-school
Contraceptive information, education and services should be available to adolescents
Every woman, regardless of age or income, should have the right to abortion—at a reasonable cost
You may have noticed the vicious cycle present in the way these organizations operate: Teach children at a very young age about sex, provide them with free contraceptives, when the birth control fails—abort the baby. SIECUS also claims to be the leader in the fight against the new federal abstinence-only- until-marriage education, describing the program as ineffective and based on fear-tactics. Ironically enough, SIECUS steadfastly promotes school-based sexual education—a program cited by the Consortium of State Physicians as "a failure and not at all safe," while fighting abstinence—an idea based on morality, self-respect, complete freedom and health and already proven to be 100 percent effective. National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers
The irony, tragedy and outright evil of this event require little explanation. The following is an excerpt from the Refuse & Resist website promoting the Day of Appreciation:
On this day, stand up with your abortion service providers and say: Thank you for your heroism, perserverance, courage, and commitment to women. We must change the climate overall from one where abortion providers are vilified and attacked to one where they are honored and upheld as the heroes they are. The National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers was initiated in 1996 and co-sponsored by many national organizations and individuals, as a way to help stop the isolation and create a positive climate for abortion providers across the country. March 10th is the anniversary of the assassination of Dr. David Gunn, the first provider murdered. It is a day to remember and honor Dr. Gunn and others who have and continue to put their lives on the line daily to make choice possible. Without abortion providers, there can be no "choice." And without choice, women cannot be free to live and plan their lives.
Co-sponsored by a number of pro-death organizations including Planned Parenthood, Medical Students for Choice, NOW, NARAL, Voters for Choice, the National Abortion Federation, and Refuse & Resist, this National Day of Appreciation makes a mockery of life and glorifies the murder of innocent babies. There is no honor in immorality. There is no heroism or courage involved in killing a defenseless child for money. There is no commitment to the women that find themselves psychologically, emotionally and often-physically scarred by abortion. Two key points stand out. The first is acknowledging that violence is never the answer. Someone who takes another's life may be against abortion, but is not pro-life. Secondly, our most powerful weapon is prayer. We ask that on this day, you set aside one hour to pray for the forgiveness of the abortion providers while remembering the aborted babies who now find their deaths glorified as "a choice" and "heroic."

How Life Begins
Fertilization: One little boy begins the first day of his life within his mother's body. At this point, his father's sperm and his mother's egg combine to form a new human being who carries with him as much information as 50 sets of the 33-volume Encyclopedia Britannica. This genetic information (DNA) will determine all of this little person's physical characteristics and much of his intelligence and personality.
Day 2: Our little friend is now three cells big. His cells will continue to divide as he starts down his mother's Fallopian tube towards her uterus (womb), where he will get the food and shelter he needs to grow and develop.
Day 6-7: Implantation into his mother's uterus begins and all the while he continues to grow. As his cells multiply, they differentiate to perform specific functions -circulatory, muscular, neural and skeletal.
Day 14: Implantation is completed around this time and his mother misses her first menstrual period.
Day 20: His heart, brain, spinal column, and nervous system are almost complete and his eyes begin to form.
Day 22: His heart begins to beat.
Day 28: This little boy is now approximately 1/4 inch long - 10,000 times larger than he was only three weeks ago! The blood flowing in his veins is completely different than his mother's.
Week 4: His muscles are developing, and arms and leg buds are visible. His large, distinct head is clearly identifiable, along with the major outlines of brain and eye vesicles, the beginnings of his central nervous system, notochord, mouth and pharynx, body cavity, and the basis of his skeleton.
Week 5: Our little friend's face is taking shape; his forehead, eyes, nostrils and mouth are evident; external ears are beginning; hand and foot plates appear in his limb buds.
Week 6: The brainwaves of this little boy can be recorded. His different muscles begin working together.
Week 8: His fingers and toes are fairly well defined, and fingerprints, a unique and defining feature of every human being, are permanently engraved on his skin. All of his organs are present, complete, and functioning (except his lungs).
Week 9-10: All areas of his body are sensitive to touch. He sucks his thumbs, swallows, squints, frowns and puckers his brow. If his palm is stroked, he will make a tight fist.
Week 11-12: He now has fingernails, toenails and working taste buds. He can also make all facial expressions, including a smile.
Week 13: Although this baby was already a boy at fertilization, his sex is now identifiable.
Month 4: This little baby's heart is pumping 6 gallons of blood every day, and his mom can now feel him jumping around and turning somersaults, exercising the muscles and lungs he will need to live outside his mother's womb. Rapid eye movement (REM) can be recorded while he's sleeping, indicating that he is dreaming.
Months 5-6: He now weighs about one pound and is a foot long. If he is born now, he would have a 50% chance of surviving with the help of dedicated doctors and nurses.
Months 7-8: He can open and close his eyes and recognizes his mom's voice. His weight continues to increase and "baby fat" fills out and smoothes his skin. If he is born now, his chance of surviving increases to 90%.
Month 9: When he is ready to be born, he will release hormones to trigger labor. He may weigh between 7 and 9 pounds, and can be between 18 and 21 inches long!

Stem cell research: What's it all about?
A stem cell is a type of cell found in all human beings. They're found in animals as well. Stem cells have a couple of important characteristics: they can reproduce themselves over a long period of time without changing, and they have the capability to produce other types of specialized cells, such as brain cells, muscle cells, and lung cells, to name but a few.
There are a number of different places from which stem cells can be obtained:
- Bone marrow
- Fat cells
- Umbilical cord blood
- Adult blood
- Olfactory nerve endings
- Skin cells
- Human embryo
Ethical options
Obtaining stem cells from a human embryo is highly unethical. A human embryo is an innocent human being in his first stage of life. There is only one way to obtain stem cells from a developing human embryo, and it involves killing the embryo. It is always and in every case morally wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being at any point in life, including the embryonic stage of development.
Obtaining stem cells from fatty tissue, or bone marrow, or the umbilical cord after the birth of a baby may be done ethically. No harm comes to the person whose stem cells are obtained for research in such fashion. Furthermore, according to current research findings, adult stem cells show great promise for treating a variety of conditions and diseases. The same cannot be said for human embryonic stem cells.
What ‘experts’?
There are those in the government and scientific community who say more money must be spent on human embryonic stem cell research because it holds the most promise for helping people with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
However, adult stem cells have been used successfully for decades. Bone marrow transplants, for instance, help people every day. There are more than 100 conditions including leukemia, immune system and other blood disorders, cancers and autoimmune diseases that respond well when adult stem cell therapy is used.
False promises
Research involving human embryonic stem cells has thus far been unsuccessful in the quest to develop therapeutic treatments. It is speculated that those who support human embryonic stem cell research are clamoring loudly for taxpayer dollars because private companies know human embryonic stem cell research is neither worth their time nor their money.
The popular plea is that human embryonic stem cell research will cure Alzheimer’s disease. However, Alzheimer’s researcher Ned Potter said this research would not help the Alzheimer’s patient at all. It is nerve cells that cause the problem because they lose their ability to connect with each other. These embryonic stem cells are not the ones needed.
Far too many reports of possible treatment for diseases are false. Media accounts simply parrot fake science. It is misleading, and could lead to the deaths of millions of innocent human beings if this type of research is allowed to move forward.
‘Leftover’ myths
According to a recent RAND Corporation survey of in vitro fertilization clinics in the United States, the vast majority of the 400,000 human embryos currently being stored – 88.2% of them – are wanted by their parents so that larger families can be part of their future.
But even if this were not the case, there is no justification for killing one innocent human being, regardless of where he lives — including a freezer in a clinic. Killing is still killing.
A human being begins at the beginning: fertilization. There is no greater pivotal moment in an individual’s growth and development than when 23 chromosomes from the father join with 23 chromosomes from the mother to form a unique, new biologic entity — a human being who never existed prior to that moment.
Avoid deceptions
Those who attempt to deceive the public by using words like clump of cells, blob of tissue, pre-embryo, and so forth, are either ignorant of the basic scientific facts or think that people like us are gullible enough to believe almost anything.
Arm yourself with the truth, to defend millions of tiny embryonic human beings who cannot speak for themselves. Spread the word that society must reject human embryonic stem cell research, while encouraging moral, ethical — and thus far, successful — work with other forms of stem cells.
