K, haven't updated in FOREVER, but I JUST MET ANTHONY RAPP! HE WAS SO COOOOOL!

I'm going to put on photos later, but it was amazing. amazing amazing. He signed my book and one for Kim in California (my cambridge buddy). It was pretty much the coolest thing ever.

And I asked "How do your vocal chords survive eight shows a week?" and he gestured with the water and said basically that it's like a marathon. you train and stretch and it becomes muscle memory. He read the chapter "glory" from his book about RENT opening on broadway, and sang "seasons of love."

it was perfect. He was perfect. ohhh wow anthony rapp have my babies!

Hey I'm updating! aren't you proud of me? I'm proud of me.

huzzah.

So today I had ACT class, and I actually like our math teacher Ms. Gallagher. I thought she was funny. Except I hate "teacher acceptance" politics. You know, how everyone frowns at her and she is trying really hard to be "cool," and you like her, but you don't laugh because it's not "cool."

Lame social politics.

Then I had an acting lesson. My Juliet speech is coming along well. My teacher, Belinda, is kind of intense. I really need a thicker skin. i need to be able to take criticism. I think the key is just to focus on improving for the future, not dwelling on what you screwed up before. Like when someone says "It's so much better" i always focus on how "bad" it used to be, not how much "better" it is now.

Then I had lunch at Winberie's with my parents.

Then I had a trombone lesson. Awww, I really love Cherai. She thinks I'm her best student (maybe ever) and I know she secretly wants me to be a trombone major. But she doesn't force it, so that's cool. Sometimes I wish I practiced more, but there's so many other things to do, you know? I'm going to try to play in college. Somehow. Some sort of music minor type thing. Hey, and who knows, maybe I'll have a role where I have to play trombone, you never know. Anyways, she wants me to take a lesson with this guy Fisher, who is supposed to be like professional quality. I think he's the trombone guy at DePaul. Pretty cool.

On a happy happy happy note, I got a replacement CD drive for my laptop, so I can finally burn cds again. YAY! And i can use my itrip, which I have been, obsessively.

Tonight I'm going to see Much Ado About Nothing. I'm quite excited for it. It's at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

AHHHH GOOOD NEWS!
So i had no reason to freak out all over break because I actually do have a part in chicago-- Go-to-hell-Kitty Katz. She's the one Lucy Liu plays in the movie. I get to shoot three people, and knee two people in the groin, and be in a straight jacket. It's amazing!
Plus, they group me in with the cell block girls a lot. wonderful!

I'm happy. Look at my facebook, i put new pictures up.
