| Popping the Vitamin C PillsFinals anxiety has finally manifested--today I bought a pack of Vitamin C "Halls Defense" and started popping them in hopes of preventing the formidable Finals Flu. Nights have shortened to maybe three to four hours of sleep. In fact, I have joined the majority of our dorm hall in becoming practically nocturnal. My roommate and I were up til 5am no problem last night. !! The problem is that the flu spreads like crazy through the dorms! Thus, in anticipation of at least another week of long nights with my books and study groups, I'm intaking about 1100% of my daily vitamin C everyday. This is kind of a silly post, but that's ok. So, what were my roommate and I discussing last night? Who the ultimate X-Man is. The conclusion? Hugh Jackman as Iceman. The only problem with Iceman is his lack of manly roughness--he is *tear* kinda pretty. BUT as far as super-powers--he's definitely the best. What if wolverine had one of his dream episodes in the middle of the night and stabbed you? And of course there's the whole problem of him being completely subject to Magneto in a fight. And, face it, he needs a hair makeover. And wingboy (you know, the silly birdboy in the 3rd film?) could fly you around, but imagine cleaning up his moltings around the house! And I like down comforters and feather pillows, but feathers actually touching you while you're trying to sleep is just not cool. Then there's Cyclops, but never being able to look into the eyes of the one you love? Not cool at all. Plus, Cyclops is just weird. And if he loses his shades, he could blast you to bits. Of course, there's the big, rock-hard or steel-hard Xmen. Ok, so that's cool--they could definitely protect a girl. But the coolness ends there. The awesome thing about Iceman is he can both protect you AND make gorgeous, romantic things that no other person is capable of doing! He can freeze your enemy to death and then create a gorgeous ice rink decorated with ice roses all in a matter of seconds! So, now we all know what a horrible finals studying week does to the college brain | | |
| Rough Start to the Day :(You know those days that really just do not start like you'd planned, and actually much worse, and put you in a bad mood that you really wish you could shake but you can't? Yah, today is one of those days for me.
But no worries, no permanent damage done yet. And Hopefully it will just make the rest of the day seem so much better! Or something like that.
| Bluh...homework...such is the life?I am SO looking forward to when Homework ends, and the real work begins. Even sadly as it is, I really want to write and know that it MEANS something! That it serves some PURPOSE! I really am about sick of summarizing what other people wrote and arguing whether I believe it or not. It's interesting stuff, and the problem is that I can see it being somewhat important later. But right now?! It just seems so inconsequential. And it would be SO EASY to just STOP and NOT CARE that I don't turn in the paper--it's so close to BREAK! But, alas, that won't work. That's just not possible. I brought the late-night paper writing on myself, and I need to finish it. Goodnight all! I hope you are sleeping well! I will be in Fort Worth tomorow, and this will all be over. Sleep tight! | | |
| Pretty in Pink!Yay! My xanga has gone pink! So much better I am listening to Johnny Cash...wow, talk about a low voice. Men with deep voices just practically automatically earn my respect Something about a high-voiced man just makes me feel a bit funny... So I'm going to start studying for my accounting test Wouldn't it be fun to live in North Carolina or somewhere near big rivers and big mountains--and have a cabin up in there, and take long walks by the river?! Wait, I forgot about mosquitos. Nevermind. But the mountains stay.
Have a great week everbody!!
