yesterday sarah and i danced for a good twenty minutes. mostly box step. a little tango. then she wanted to lead. she's a pretty good lead for a 73 lb sixth-grader.

today i went to the co-op for, um, the third time this week. now the entire staff knows me and the guy with the ponytail teased me about my local and natural goods addiction. then he gave me a bouquet of wildflowers (which, i might add, also contained a little yellow spider and a little buggerbug with a fat grey bottom and purple stripety legs) and handed me a membership flyer.
but seriously? i might die without this peanut butter.
and besides, we're going away for the weekend and i have to bring my own food on accounta because i don't eat things.
speaking of.
gone to the lake all weekend, don't call, i'll be busy waterskiing and grilling portabellos with the harvey clan (baby harrison included...cutest kid ever to have a kinda lopsided head)!

today was potwin scavanger hunt day at camp (pshdac for short), which went swimmingly (trespassing on aslan's lawn and the castle and all) but for matteo hiding clues at the wrong house. we had to cat-herd the entire camp to their cards after they tramped about many a closed yard. in the immortal words of stefano pezzino: "god damn it matteo you retard!"
oh, campkids. please don't shoot eachother with the bb guns.

turns out working mornings means i miss all the fun. case in point: a bird pooped in dylan's snack. right smack dab in the cheeto bowl. right smack dab after i had left. very sorry to have missed the look on his face. also sorry to have missed caitlyn's diving attempts, always worth a chuckle. so basically....if anyone wants to come swim in the aftertoons, i may start assuming unpaid responsibility just to have a few funnier stories.

today at camp there were ducks in the pool
waaaay cuter than raccoons in the shed
mr mike made them a little bridge, and zach the twin was done crying

i have already been to a dance recital this year (chelsea), but i think i have to go to another one tonight. two camp kids are in it. one is a boy and one is a spaz, but will it be worth my two hours of shuffle-step-ball-change? maybe it will cost money and i'll have a valid excuse...

i'm pretty sure ddr day has turned into ddr month. the kids will not give it a rest.

annie get your gun is wicked politically incorrect. we're changing the ending and it's still offensive! hooray! time to put white kids in face paint and make them say "how" (my dad is gonna be piiiiiiiiiissed! not really, he'll probably just chuckle uncomfortably)

it is now movie musical week, and as last year we watched old musicals, this year we will be watching new ones, including:
moulin rouge
rent
the producers
...RACY! these are unitarian theatre hippie potwinite kids though, i think they've all seen these movies anyway.

speaking of movies, i heart why-haven't-i-still-seen-this film watching avec ian.
particularly when said films involve time travel and/or giant bunnies.

today was stupid human tricks and ddr day at camp
dylan is still a circus freak and caitlyn is still a spaz. it's nice to know that some things don't have to change.

haaaha. remember when matteo broke his arm? or when camp caught on fire? those were the days. we can only hope for such an eventful final summer. i don't know how we can beat '05, though, without tallullah battigan or rolling at top speed.
