Ok SO I haven't blogged for a while....sorry! Here are some updates for ya -

I need a new job! I really can't stand the general public anymore. Retail was ok back in FL because I was young, living alone (well, with Addy cat) and dind't have anyone to answer to. I could work 60 hour weeks and no one really cared. My bf lived 5 minutes away and then we ended up living together so we were together alot. Now jump ahead 5 years and I'm still doing the same thing, working 40 hour weeks which is a little better, but I have a brother that I never see who lives IN MY HOUSE, a BF that I see everyday but for 2 or 3 hours before one of us crashes of exhaustion and a cat who has no idea who I am. I would really like to stay in retail at a more corporate level working with numbers and the business end of it but who wants to move to NY or, in Gap's case San Fran to do that?!?! In FL I didn't want to commute and/or live in donwtown Miami so couldn't go corporate there and although Cali is very appealing I don't think my friends and fam would be happy with me moving to San Fran. SO i'm stuck - moral is, I need a new career. The problem is that all my experience is in retail so starting over would mean BIG salary cuts which my lifestyle cannot accomodate right now. I interviewed for a Sport Marketing firm last week and they actually called me back! But the position was to manage one of their new offices in Worcester, Springfield or Providence. Now, as much fun as moving to one of the murder capitals of Massachusetts sounds, I decided it just wasn't appealing and I didn't show up for the second interview today. Which is very unprofessional and un-like me but oh well. It's different because I currenlty have a job - if I was out of work I wouldn't have done that! I would like to get back into sports because it's what I know and like but part of me has always loved design and I would really love interior design ...but I never went to art school or anything and I'd need to take classes at a local college which I don't have the money for......UGH, guess I'm stuck at BR for a while....

Well for more uplifing but surprising news I am so in love    Yes yes Mel, you can pat yourself on the back THEN mock me.....Now, if you don't know me I'll tell you I've never been the kind of person to settle down. In college I was wild child - I mean seriously, I went to school in Daytona Beach. Then I got a job, moved to West Palm and on the first day met the guy who I thought I was going to marry. We were friends for a couple months then dated for 3 years. Then I left him (minor details, not important now), moved back to MA a year ago and went wild again. The summer of 2005 was amazingly fun but I was sick of a different guy every week and none of them stuck. Then I met J in early November and at first I was still in player mode and tried breaking up twice. But he was persistant and such a sweetheart and now two months later I'm crazy about him and see myself settling down again. But don't tell him that.....hee hee. I love his family and his kids are good.......yes, we all know I'd rather punt a child for a field goal than play with them.....but I actually got along with the little one and he ended up really warming up to me the other night.

Ok enough babbling for one day.....guess I should write more then they won't be so long!    Now it's back to cleaning house.......Have a fun day everyone!

Last night was a crazy nite! It started off calm, going to see Scott's new place then a drink at Wild Horse. From there I headed to Salem Beerworks where I was going to meet the Sun nite crew and possibly some others. Well, I decided to park in where there was a sign "You will be towed, no exceptions". Ok, how many of us have parked there and nothing has ever happened? I mean, the business was not open at the time so who the fuck cares if you park there? Obviously someone does cuz I came out of the bar a little tipsy and couldn't find my car. Yup, the bastards towed it. So luckily I had J-man with me and we drove around and while I was in a drunken stupor calling my friends to tell them what happened, he was on his phone finding my car. So we have an address of where the car is and we're driving around and all of a sudden I tell him to pull over. The lights at my aunts donut shop were on and my cousin's car (aka my high school Olds) was there!!! But it was 12:30 am?!?!? So I ran out and into the shop and hung out for a while......they all got to meet J which was cool but they were going to anyway on Sunday. OK so to end this drama - 110 dollars later I was home at 1:30 sleeping peacefully. J couldn't believe how chill I was with this whole thing but I'm like, I'm from the South - we just don't give a shit about much anything.....

And that leads me to my next drama filled story about how much I hate my mother. She thinks that just because I live so close that I am always going to be around to do stuff. But I need to live my own life....I've always been an independent, self-centered, selfish person and that's not gonna change. It's from living pretty much alone the last 5 years (well, me and Addy cat) and not having to worry about anyone but me. So she knocks on my door this morning, I was half asleep and didn't get up. Next thing I know there are doors slamming and she speeds off.....get over it bitch!! Try calling me....you know I always have my phone on! I hate the holidays. I hate Massa-hellhole-chusetts and I HATE my mother!!!

My plan - In May I will have been with my job for a year and at that point I can transfer locations. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm hoping to get down to FL in Feb to talk to some GMs -from there, $ is the only thing I'll need to make this happen. I have a couple roomates lined up, I know tons of people down there anyway, and the wedding is in June so perfect timing for final dress fittings and the week of fun! I want to go home....now! But I have to say - J isn't taking this so well...

So Sat nite I went to Ali's and we met up with the crew at Club Caprice by the theater district. Had the WORST time ever! It was a sketch Euro club with skeezy Euro -trash men but we went b/c we could get in for free and we knew Bu and crew would be there.....the best part of the night was me drunk chatting up the cabbie (cuz they all screamed NOT SHOTGUN) about how many tickets he's gotten, how many wrecks he's been in, if he has insurance and if he's watched Taxicab Confessions.....

Yesterday I came home, took a shower then laid on the couch for football when all of a sudden I started shaking and took my temp to find it was 103.5 ...I've never seen that without someome being dead! So I took Tylenol and It went down to 101.7 then around 9-10 at night it jacked right back up to 103.7 this time! So I hate docs and hosptials more than that next guy but I'm like fine, let's go....1) because I didn't want to have a seizure and die in my sleep and 2) to get my mother off my back. SO after an hour and a half of waiting for doc to finish his pizza and see me (I could smell it on his breath) he dishcharged me not knowing what the hell was wrong with me. I had some symptoms but not all to make it one single thing. So now i'm just waiting to see if something develops or it just goes away on it's own.....Today I'm feeling a little better but I can't get that damn fever under 101!!! And i'm not a hypochondriac but as of tonight I have a sore throat and a little cough.....I was never sick in FL! Fucking MA weather!

So my last blog was read by the wrong person and i feel AWFUL about it so I'm never writing about men again....ever! I'm a horrible person.....

Tonight I worked and Scott came to visit  (congrats on the new place by the way!). Then I went to Fish Hill (Obvi) with Ali and Rachael E and her friend came. It was fun. Tomorrow I'm working then going to Boston to party and stay with Al then we're spending the day in Beantown on Sunday then it's trivia (as usual) in Bev Sun nite.....

There were alot of cops out tonight and honestly I don't know how I've never been busted for something....anything! I'm one lucky chica! (Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself). I mean, that night after the Janet Jackson concert in Charlotte was SCARY but I got off with a "put your seatbelt on"......ARGH!

There's a house on the Danvers/Bev line on 62 that gives tours of it's X-mas lights....how wierd is that??! I mean, you see this house coming from Middleton it's so bright. They must live like Amish people the other 11 months in order to pay for their December electricity bill!!!

Tonight was the first night of bitter coldness. The bank said it was 32 degrees but with the windchill it's gotta be close to like 5. I hate this place and for the next 4 months I'm going to be miserable. Good luck to my friends! Can't wait for June 10th!
