"I visit people with an income of less than thirty dollars a month, living in a one-room apartment with a dirt floor, no car, no heat, no flush toilet, no running water, no kitchen, not much electricity, two or three changes of clothes, a wall full of books. I eat them out of house and home for four or five days, am entertained grandly, not allowed to spend a fen, and for the pleasure of bankrupting them, they give me elegant gifts for having been their guest. Where is civilization, Minnesota or Wanxian? What has income accomplished for America?"

i wanna go to china from dec 24th till jan 3rd.... Tsingtao too maybe if my friend goes cuz he got hookups/ family there... otherwise goin to check out shanghai real estate

I can't help you there , I don't know anyone in Shanghai . I live in Shenzhen if that what you ment (the richest city in all of China) and I have been offered 2 different jobs , one teaching young'ns for 16,000 RMB a month and another for 20,000 RMB teaching in a private center . Your options are wide open in this city . I have taught (private) anywhere from 5 to 40 year old students at New Step Institute . This center won't last long because of the managers . Shenzhen is THE place to be for networking , I have met countless amazing people/business men and Im excited for the future and international trade . My email is davidandrewpiper@yahoo.com and I have a myspace (I gave in) . I have been told that an English teacher with few refrences can just show up here (Shenzhen) and find work almost instantly , I dont doubt that but I have never tried it .

Thanks for the props on my site! China has been pretty crazy for me so far. The vacation I did was totally awesome. I'm also excited to be starting a new job this fall. Take it easy!
