For all you drummers out therer, guess what... This year i made a resolution to play instrument brands that are not very commercially famous... Ask any drummer about drums and most of them will only know brands like :

Cymbals - Sabian,Zildjian

Drums - Pearl,Tama and Yamaha

Drum heads - Remo

But what i've come to realize is that there are so many wonderful instrument makers out there in countries like the USA,Australia,Canada,Turkey and more...Imagine, have you heard of Peace drums, Orange County,Pork Pie, Samsonite, Cadeson, Ayotte and countless others..It's just that we dun have a demand strong enough for distributors to bring them in... I envy the fellas in Singapore, they have way more choices than we do here in Kuala Lumpur.. But dun fret my fellow drumming amigos, recently a store in KL just opened. The name of the place is JS Music... and they have Gretch Drums, Bhosphorus and Wu-HAn cymbals and many more new stuff coming...

I have placed an order for my STAG ride cymbal .... hehehehehe...

So for 2005, i will be playing :

Drums - Tama (i love them so yea that's why

Skins - Aquarian

Cymbals - Paiste and Stag

Sticks - I am sticking to Vic Firth for this one...

Yea, there you have it.. Brands i am gonna be using this year....And some of you might be wondering how it feels like to play with gloves... Well i recently started using them and i like it... That does not mean the extra grip gives you the excuse not to warm up...(trust me it hurts when you dun warm up before a gig..) But it's really comfortable...

Another advice, please practice with a metronome
