| Hey Everyone!
I am in Israel!! I can't believe I'm finally here. Tomorrow is our first trip into Jerusalem and I'm really excited. It's so different than anything I've ever experienced. I'm just trying to adjust to the time change which is 10 hours ahead of California time.
How is everyone? I forgot to write that I went to Ohio for 6 days to see Dani Rae. It was such a blast and I'm so glad I got to see her before Israel.
I have to write about a thousand more people, but I hope you all are doing well wherever you are and whatever you're doing. I send you all love and hugs from Israel!!
Love, Rachel

| Hey Everyone!!
I have the most wonderful news - my sister is ENGAGED!!! She got engaged this last Saturday and we were out nearly all night celebrating. Her fiancee is so great and I'm so excited he will be part of our family. They are hoping to get married in June, which will be not too long after I get back from Israel. The ring is beautiful and I know I have never seen my sister so happy as she is now.
How is everyone doing? We only have 11 school days left here and then finals. And then 5 weeks until I leave for Israel. I can't believe it's already time for Thanksgiving. Hey, I want everyone to leave me a comment that says their favorite food from Thanksgiving. It will make me happy! Love you guys

| Hey Everyone,
Last night I got to see Mae in concert with a bunch of other bands and it was awesome.. I went with one of my good friends from Masters and we had a great time. How is everyone doing lately? Any big news? I miss you guys.
This week I have been thinking so much about what a blessing it is to have the friendship of the Lord. It's so amazing that He never fails even when people do, and through the trials in our lives He draws us closer to Himself. Through this summer and semester, I have seen God's purposes revealed through trials in my life and in others.
Anyway, I love you guys and hope all is well, that you're learning and growing everyday.

| Hey Everyone,
I just got back from spending a week in Northern California at my sister's roommate's house. It was soo much fun, and I got to drive there and back with Amy Smith and her fiancee. Road trips are so much fun. Anyway, Bre [my sister's roommate] is like another sister to me and her family is one of the most amazing families I have ever met. I was so blessed by each of them and just really refreshed by spending time with them. Their church was really great and today the pastor spoke about what it means to be the man/woman that God has intended you to be, and how our differences are really reflections of God because we are created in His image. It was totally interesting and I learned from it.
This last Friday we spent the night in San Francisco which was crazy. It was freezing up there, like in the 50's or something! We went to authentic Thai food, and I had squid, octopus, jellyfish, and other crazy things that I usually wouldn't eat. Then we went to Chinese food at 2 in the morning. It was so crazy and I was cold the whole time. Then on Saturday me and Ann got to see our brother and sister in law because they live up there. That was so much fun except that I spilled this huge drink all over my clothes and it totally looked like I wet my pants.
Well, studying abroad in Israel is just about the most exciting thing to me right now. I have already started buying things for over there and since everyone in my family has been, I'm getting all the pointers on what I should and should not bring. There is still much to be worked out with leaving in January, but I'm praying that God guides me in the path He wants me to take.
How is everyone?? I think about you guys all the time, and of course Amy and I talked Quest stories the whole way up and down. We also listened to the bad demoes cd, which is quickly making its way around Master's. Anyway, I love you all and you are in my prayers!
Love, Rachel
