.Ahhh front page of the local papers carried a story about none other my ex this week.I removed his name and didn't post all the comments ppl made in an attempt to be fair but i had to gloat a bit to the 3 ppl who read this blog.This is his arrest #28 that i know of but i may have missed some.Maybe i was wrong about him.I thought he was the charming bad boy,everybody's best friend party guy (who turns out to be a real jerk) or maybe not.He is certainly popular atm,and bad and a party guy! PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE IS INCREASING

When police officers in St. Clair County pulled over xxxxxxxxxxxx. for driving on a revoked license, they said they found more than 100 prescription pills, including Oxycodon and Viagra.

And county drug agents wonder if it's just the beginning of a growing cycle of prescription abuse.

"Young people are awash in pills," said Carol Falkowski, director of research communications for the Hazelden Foundation. "It's a definite national trend. While meth has been capturing the headlines, prescription drug abuse is inching up, especially in the youth."

In the St. Clair County case, police received a report on June 11 about xxxxxxx. He's accused of transporting narcotics in his vehicle even though his license was revoked, said St. Clair County Sheriff's Sgt. Thomas Trice, head of the department's drug tactical unit.

"He was on probation for felony driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license," Trice said.

In a joint investigation with the Athens Police Department, the Drug Tactical Unit found Gabriel, who failed to notify St. Clair County Probation Department of his new address on xxxx Lost Dog Road near Athens, then conducted surveillance, Trice said.

On June 12, New Athens police officers and drug tactical agents watched xxxxx conduct several drug transactions with other targets of the investigation, Trice said.

xxxxx then drove away and officers conducted a traffic stop. They found more than 100 pills in his possession, including 44 hydrocodone pills and 37 alprazolam and clonazepam, Oxycodon and Viagra pills, Trice said.

The pills sold for anywhere from $3 to $20 a pill, Trice said, translating into a street value into the thousands.

"The investigation is continuing and other pill trafficking arrests are imminent," Trice said.

Prescription drug abuse is on the rise in the county, Trice said, turning up in high volume, especially with rural teenagers.

"There's been a lot of attention called to it lately. It's the main emphasis at the Office of National Drug Control Policy," said Rogene Waite, a representative of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, adding more than 6 million people reported misuse of prescribed pain killers.

In areas with high concentration of methamphetamine, users often take prescription depressants to take the edge of their high, calling the practice "parachuting," Falkowski said.

Teens are especially vulnerable to prescription abuse because of the increase in pharmaceutical use to treat mood disorders like Attention Deficit Disorder and depression, coupled with aggressive marketing campaigns by manufacturers, Falkowski said.

"They are so nonchalant about prescriptions," Falkowski said. "A pill can change their mood, make things better and it isn't really drug use because doctors prescribe them. There's a perception among young people that if it's a pill it must be safe."

Finally got off my lazy arse and edited some ss.

Ah i popped on Lin to check on letters and found my son has removed Riff from bp.And i am still getting unhappy letters from those he tangled with.For those who don't know he played my chars at times since February when i was so sick.Mainly he was on to wait for Chic or Ezel to come on for me but he managed to hunt some and annoy a few ppl lol.He is old school Lin player so if he was hit,bugged or stolen from ,he will kill,not like me

I apologize to any he ticked off and (think 3 or 4 ppl still have me excluded) his game style is a bit different than mine but we can be hard to tell apart since we played together alot.so, sry folks!

Sigh,ppl still ask me about where Chic and Ezel are.I honestly don't know.I was told in January Chic's internet went down and Ezel was playing WOW for awhile. Chic e-mailed me for a bit then stopped. I sent alot of e-mails and never got an answer.Ezel answered 1 letter i sent in game telling me happy easter and he would come on and chat some time. So i waited,had my son wait.I was concerned about them and wanted to tell them in person what was happening here.Never heard from them again.Kind of a touchy subject with me after 4 yrs of knowing ,hunting and trusting them.Meh can we drop it now kids?

I think i am finally done with the last post surgical complication (well major 1,lol) This has been an odessy in misdiagnosis,crappy medical treatment and insurance fights from start to end. I have learned alot ,more than i ever wanted to know lol. 1 thing is you don't need a spinal tap to diagnose pneumonia.ANy Dr.s out there that have a brain?

MONDAY : It's fun to cook for Joe. Today I made angel food cake. The recipe
said beat 12 eggs separately. The neighbors were nice enough to loan me some
extra bowls.

TUESDAY: Joe wanted fruit salad for supper. The recipe said serve without
dressing. So I didn't dress. What a surprise when Joe brought a friend home
for supper.

WEDNESDAY: A good day for rice. The recipe said wash thoroughly before
steaming the rice. It seemed kind of silly but I took a bath anyway. I can't say it
improved the rice any.

THURSDAY: Today Joe asked for salad again. I tried a new recipe. It said
prepare ingredients; lay on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving. Joe asked me
why I was rolling around in the garden.

FRIDAY: I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said put the ingredients in a
bowl and beat it. There must have been something wrong with this recipe.
When I got back, everything was the same as when I left.

SATURDAY: Joe did the shopping today and brought home a chicken. He asked me
to dress it for Sunday (oh boy). For some reason Joe keeps counting to ten.

SUNDAY: Joe's folks came to dinner. I wanted to serve roast but all I had
was hamburger. Suddenly I had a flash of genius. I put the hamburger in the oven
and set the controls for roast. It still came out hamburger, much to my
disappointment.

GOOD NIGHT DEAR DIARY. This has been a very exciting week. I am eager for
tomorrow to come so I can try out a new recipe on Joe. If I can talk Joe
into buying a bigger oven, I would like to surprise him with chocolate moose.

These articles raise so many questions, i would not know where to begin.I do find it amazing Lin 3 would be in development when NC can not get their 1st basic game to function properly and they can't even control the server population of cheating.

I suspect in the long run all these games will be produced as cheaply as possible and companies will grab the cash and abandon the consumers. Funny thing is ,it is partly the consumers fault in my view.

My 1st MMO was Lineage.I tried L2,dabbled on WOW and am now trying LOTRO.All are different games but have a common denominator.You at times need to group hunt.You are given the option of joining bp's,guilds.kinships etc.Within these social families you find different game playing styles,opinions,attitudes,social classes,ages,sexes and originating countries. To function as an efficient group you need good communication,fairly responsible people,a bit of respect for each other,the ability to forgive some silliness,knowing your role in groups,basic trust,some honesty,commitment to the betterment of all in group and a leader that can handle the job.

Of all the games i have played the best experiences came from early Lin 1.We laughed,learned together as a group,lost some,won some,shared goodies when we got them and could depend on each other to be there.Sure some had arguments but not life or major game play altering.People are people and we all will do foolish,annoying ,stupid things at times.We will not always have the same view points nor be happy with each other at times.These games are a microcosim of families and society and alot of ppl play to escape from their reality for a short time period .It can relieve stress,make us forget our troubles and help us avoid boredoom.

Having said all this we come to the main problems.People will disagree,sometimes terribly.We have all witnessed that in Lin.Then comes the i want to kill that person for their view point/game style/attitude/ friends/bp/greediness/looks/hairstyle/age/race/sex..............i watched as this evolved on Lin and was frightened at where it may end.It evolved into bot usage to lvl chars to kill "enemies",hack usage to beat them better,game money buying to purchase better gear than they have.Progress continued and the trash talking became horrifying.Cheating increased.Friendships and bp's weakened as trust began to fail.People argued even more,logged on less ,got bored easier and felt a bit lost at times.

Fast forward to todays Lin.It is crawling with bots/cheaters/hacks/soloist/liars.There are no strong bp's altho many claim to be.There are no happy,fun loving,laughing ppl any more.There is anger,suspicion,jealousy,rudeness,greed,obsessive bragging and ppl with superiority complexes.We find it easiest to blame NC, and they hold some responsibility, but don't we also? Who are any of us to judge someone sitting behind a computer? Who are we to demand things of those we don't really know? Who can justiyfy botting/cheating/stealing to play a silly game meant for entertainment? Does a lvl 60 char mean your better/smarter/have more rights than being lvl 52? And in the end what do you win? I left Lin very unhappy and sad.Ever hear ppl say they are quitting and they are happy to have had the experience? I sorely miss the fun,laughs,challenges ,fair play and terrific ppl of old.LOTRO seems to be mutating into a WOW clone with instances needing huge groups.Ever try getting a hunt that size together? You need several things such as ppl that 1.function as an effective unit,2.like,know and trust each other,3. show up for hunts. I experienced this in the later stages on Lin and WOW. How can you expect to be successful on elite/boss mops with no experience playing with ppl in group? Or when ppl afk or leave mid hunt? Or worse start arguing over some nonesense?

To experience great game play you need a strong,dependable group not infighting,petty squabbles,ppl that disapear,steal,cheat,excessive greed, create massive dramas or damage the morale of leaders and groups. SO tell me,where do you find this and how do you keep it ? I haven't a clue,lol.

I do know the 2 most overused words in games. Honor and skill.

Meh sorry for the blabbering,sorting out some thoughts and trying to decide if any of this is worth the time and expense any more.But,but i have an excuse! I am a dumb blonde that can't find my way out of a closet let alone figure out a game,haha.

Lineage III Source Code Stolen

South Korea-based MMO publisher and developer NCsoft believes the source code for its upcoming MMO Lineage III was stolen by former employees and sold to a Japanese competitor, Korean newspaper Digital Chosun Ilbo reports (thanks Gamasutra). In addition to the development and production of the Lineage series, NCsoft also handles the publishing of Guild Wars, developed by NCsoft subsidiary ArenaNet, and Cryptic Studios' City of Heroes.

NCsoft projects losses stemming from the theft may exceed 1 trillion Korean won (US$1 billion). Lost subscription fees, a major source of income for MMOs, likely account for a large portion of that figure.

The Lineage series has enjoyed much success in the Korean market, though it has been overshadowed in the United States by the popularity of other MMOs, such as Verant Interactive's EverQuest and Blizzard's World of Warcraft. Together, Lineage and Lineage II (pictured left) have brought in over KRW 1.5 trillion (US$1.6 billion) for NCsoft.

According to Seoul Metropolitan police, seven ex-employees of NCsoft are suspected in the incident. Police speculate the theft likely occurred during a series of job interviews with an as-yet-unnamed Japanese company in February, in which those former employees provided examples of their software work. Those seven are also believed to have played a part in the leak of the Lineage III program design this past September.

Citing police and industry insiders, the article also details a recent internal struggle within NCsoft. Following the dismissal of a senior game developer as a result of poor leadership skills, the Digital Chosun Ilbo claims, most of NCsoft's 90-person development team quit.

NCSoft's forthcoming Lineage III MMO's code has apparently been compromised by 7 former employees, according to Digital Chosunilbo.

The employees have been accused of disclosing the game's code to an unnamed Japanese game company and the incident is being investigated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police. They also are accused of disclosing the game's design in September.

The article also alleges very serious management problems in the unit at NCSoft with 90 employees quitting in the wake of the removal of their supervisor.

An NCSoft spokesman estimated the damage at 1 Trillion Won (about $1 Billion).

Ouch, ouch, ouch.

Now the damage estimate is probably a "bit" high. However, the design and architecture of an online game could be very valuable to a competitor.

Since many Western MMOs are running in the tens of millions of dollars, the value of this code is quite high.

The question that immediately follows is - did NCSoft adequately protect this data? Software that costs many millions of dollars to develop should be protected against disclosure by employees and certainly should not be freely available to the development team.

Regrettably, there have been a number of code compromises out into the "hacker underground" that have been admitted to. Industrial espionage probably happens more often than anyone wants to admit and rarely gets detected or prosecuted.

There are no magic bullets. Hire trustworthy employees, don't make data available to people who don't need it, track who has had access to what data in case a prosecution is necessary.

Game Programmers Suspected of Stealing Code

Police are investigating a suspected theft of software code for online game "Lineage III" which is being developed by Korea's largest game maker NCsoft.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police said Wednesday that seven former NCsoft employees are suspected of having sold the technology to a major Japanese game company.

The seven left the Korean firm in February and allowed the Japanese company to review the software during a job interview. Police believe that the technology might have been copied during the demonstration.

The former NCsoft employees are also under suspicion of having leaked the program design of "Lineage III" by email or portable disk last September.

According to police and industry insiders, the game company has suffered from an internal management problem since a senior game developer was fired for poor leadership skills.

But the sacking only led to greater problems for the company, since most of developer's 90-member team quit with their chief.

An NCsoft spokesman estimated the potential damage at over W1 trillion (US$1=W927) considering that the combined sales of "Lineage I" and "Lineage II" topped W1.5 trillion.

Never one to let its high-paying fans go without a reward, Blizzard has revealed that those attending its BlizzCon convention this year will receive a key that guarantees the opportunity to beta test an upcoming Blizzard game.

his Muslim background

Whee we picked our surnames.Sharandir went with the relaxing sounding Moonbreeze.

My brain was stuck trying to remember to rip some songs from cd's and i ended up with Woodsong but it did remind me to get out the Jethro Tull cd's and copy songs,finally!(Songs from the wood)

Now that's 1 ugly bugger of a mop.

I was huting a named mop to get mats for our new bows.Another guy was also, so we helped each other when swarmed and basically just camped spot.2 guys come and try to party me,hit my mops etc. I refused party and moved away from them.Now I am alone at dead end where elite (not named mop)spawns.I put down 2 traps, gather focus and shoot him.Guy starts bithchin me out it was his mop.So i hit flee and tele'd out to let them have mop.He proceeds to whis me.......... At this point i did /exclude.But i am glad to know what a low life,self serving,jerk etc. i am.Feel free to add your 2 cents ,rofl.
