Last week we went to a Mike Huckabee rally in Plano, TX. . . I wasn't going to go, in fact I wasn't going to post this...
But I have liked Huckabee for President since he won 2nd in the Iowa Staw Polls. Some people don't like to get into
politics, but it interests me. I'm just not one of those "doomsday is coming to America guys" While the US is far from
perfect I'm proud to live here and be an American. The rally was quite the experience. It was kina like a massive
mosh pit around a stage. Fitting an unexpected 4,000 people into a small college conference room was a little tight to say the least....
I thought I would vote for Huck but wasn't sure were he stood on all "the issues." By the end of the night I knew
were he stood and that he wasn't afraid to be absolutely clear. He was far from politically correct. I think if you
believe something, step up and say it and don't beat around the bush. Huck did exactly that...
Sure he's pro-life, against big government, and all about securing our borders. . . but he explained precisely why
and what he was going to do about it. None of this "Change for America, Hope for America" 20x's over again speech.
I mean you bet change and hope for America is great but explain please?
He was very clear in explaining how he believes overturning Roe vs. Wade isn't enough... He wants to make it illegal in every state. . .
He wants to do away with petty taxes that make it difficult for small business, and yeah, do away with the IRS...
He's not a stiff, religious, Baptist preacher, he has a relationship with his Creator and knows that his faith plays
an important role in his leadership as President. He is the true conservative in the race for the Whitehouse...
I'm not much of a debater and I tend to have a simplistic approach to life.
But for all the questions concerning this canidate there seems to be simple answers....
You might think, "Huckabee?" "He doesn't have a chance!" Well actually he still does have a good chance, he's used
less money on his campaign than any other candidate and has 230 delegates while McCain has 720. You need 1,100
delegates to clinch the nomination. . . It would take a lot of work, but it's far beyond "impossible" Besides that why
listen to the media? If you want him for president than vote for him! There's nothing unimportant about this
election, get out and vote for the man you want in office.
McCain isn't a real conservative, allthough he would be great for national defense, overturning Roe vs. Wade isn't high on his priority list...
Ron Paul says the war was a big mistake, OK maybe so, but I say we finish what we started, don't leave a mess.
We must return home with honor. I have family and friends that have served and are serving in Iraq. My cousin's
husband just got back from Iraq. He says things have turned around drastically in the last several months.... now is
not the time to leave. Besides that what's up with Paul wanting to legalize drugs in the 1980's???
If you like Hillary you're hopeless...
If you like Obama, well at least realize he's no conservative, he voted against making partial birth abortion illegal, and
If you try to find out where he stands on core issues, you can't find anything but vague ideas of change and hope for
America. I think he's a nice guy but really if you can't stand for something you'll fall for anything....
I wouldn't say I like jumping out there, and i hate campaigning, but there's way more to this guy Huckabee than I
have mentioned... It's not just a few good facts, he's a solid guy. And I don't mean politican, He's understands the
value of a solid family and the force it has on the world...
So I've officially run everyone away from my site.... oh well ;)
tomorrow, Vote for HUCK.....
