For those wonderful people in my life that I have neglected by not updating this regularly... I'm loving L.A. Applied for teaching positions in Los Angeles Unified School District for next fall Still volunteering at the Dream Center, working with Metro Kidz Ate turkey and stuffing with Brian's grandparents in Arizona Was approached by a very tall young man at the Christmas Eve service, "Miss Buckingham! Math is now my favorite subject!" One of my students from Parkside middle school who was definitely shorter than me at the time... :o) Opened presents around our lovely "little" tree with my dearly missed family in Michigan (our Christmas trees have been incredibly tall the past few years - 15 feet, 17 ft, 15.5 feet - this year it was only about 12) Realized Tampa and here have turned me into a lover-of-warm-weather.... though snowboarding was still so fun! My sister Katie is now engaged! and..... Brian talked to my dad... ... and we're getting married in AUGUST! |
