| | Alpha Omega // AOFrom the beginning of July I've been caught in a non-stop, jammed packed schedule.. final for my summer class, last camp meeting/preparation, camp for 6 days/7 nights, and then keeping my visiting friends happy (= Now I'm back home and in my new house in WALNUT (yes, no more stupid Rancho Nachomucho) and I finally have time to slow down, relax, and just.. veg out haha.
So.. to be completely honest, I don't think I've ever done a camp completely 100% for the campers. I've always had more fun with counselors and staff than with the campers. That doesn't mean I didn't like them or anything.. I just always preferred doing the counselor stuff and I would really look forward to when we would spend time together. This year was completelyyyy different though!
I absolutely LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED the campers. I was convinced of this for sure when at the counselor party after camp, all I could do was think about them and I missed them soooooo much )= Oh dear.
They touched me like I haven't been in .. well, my whole life.
During the last night of high school camp, we had a staff/counselor meeting and we ended up going around, all of us saying one thing we got out of camp. With about 40 of us, this was no small task and I think we ended up talking for a good two hours with just that. It was incredible hearing some of their stories, I feel like this camp was really something different from all the other years and everyone was touched in some way. Some cried, we laughed, so many varied stories.. I had so many things I wanted to share. You know how you will remember some moments for the rest of your life? I felt like Camp AO was just a week full of those moments. So many moments touched my heart, I feel so blessed. And I'm not saying any of this with any amount of overexaggeration.. I reallyyyy loved this camp so much and the campers were.. wow. Just wow!
I want to just leave you with pictures now. I could talk about them forever, but their faces and smiles are what would win you over anyway (=
  hahaha DONG JIM LINE ew gross!

.. I've even heard it was better than Camp Basic (ZOMG) tehe. It was a lot of hard work, so tiring, time consuming, stressful, and frustrating.. but everything leading up to this camp prepped it to be the best week of my life <3 I wonder if next year will be better!!! It'll be HARD to even come close (;
*thanks to Jaime for all the pictures.. I got too lazy to look at everyone's and she had some good ones (=
