The Silent Migraines...yes, I have been diagnosed and I do have medicine for them, now and it works super well, and it is super cheap- just $4.00!! I think I earned the right to have 4 dollar meds after 2 MRI's and numerous Dr appointments to diagnose this thing. They are getting less and less frequent, but I still have them. It is nice to have medicine now, though. Before all I could do was lay down and sleep.

So Tuesday night I hit my head really super hard on a tile wall in our bathroom. So hard that I went to the ER and had a CT Scan ordered by my attending Dr. I did give myself a concussion, but everything else checked out okay. I hit my head at 10:45 and we did not get home from the ER until 3am. We called out of work and Len had to wake me twice to ask me what my name was, my address, etc to be sure it was only a concussion. My head is still pounding. This does not help the Migraines.  ;)

I think I deserve the clutz of the year award b/c all I was doing was running water for my shower and was straightening and turning then I smacked into the wall...Well, at least I keep life interesting.

Thought I would let all my friends know so they could have a good laugh.

Wow, I have reallllyyyyy slacked off, huh? Sorry.

I had a good Valentine's Day- Len and I exchanged presents, he got a video game and a shirt. He gave me Godiva chocolates, a sweater, and a stuffed animal. (I love stuffed animals, and this one was a Bengal tiger named Leonardo already- how could I pass it up??) We have not done a dinner yet, but Len is insisting that he cook for me sometime. Sounds good to me!

Well, to be honest, I have been slacking on Xanga b/c I have found 2 very close friends of mine from high school on MySpace. One is living in Israel now (she is an Orthodox Jew), the other is here in Nashville (she is an Atheist). My senior year, those two, Meg (a great Christian friend of mine), and I were always together. I know it sounds crazy, but God used that group to teach me what I really really believed. Well, Meg is moving to South Korea and Jo (the one in Israel) is moving to Jerusalem. But first Jo is coming to Nashville to visit for a month, unfortunately missing Meg b/c she will leave right before Jo arrives! :( So please, please pray for me. I know I will be seeing Angela (the one who proclaims to be an Atheist) and Jo w/o Meg. I am super excited to see them, but a bit nervous due to the religious aspect of our friendship. We would discuss/debate religion for hours at a time in school together. I know I will be fine b/c we all really love each other and get along so well. It's just I haven't seen both of them in probably about 5 years or more!

Moving on, the possible promotion at work is no longer a possibility, there are no openings right now. Stinkers!!! Ugh. BUT---I did change my schedule so I have Wednesdays off and work 9-2 on Saturdays. I was hesitant to commit all of my Saturdays, but I asked about taking weekend trips and was told, it's fine, just work the Wednesday before you want the weekend off and that makes up for it. So, now my work week it this: Mon, Tues, 7-4, off Wed, Thur, Fri, 7-4, Sat, 9-2. So I will be there less time but still getting paid for 40 hours. Plus, Fri and Sat are Jeans days! Woo-hoo, comfy at work 2 out of 5 days! Anyways this schedule starts the first week of March. I primarily chose this so I could stay at home on Wed, sleep in a bit and clean house, do laundry, and have a week day to schedule all my silly Dr appointments. (I have literally 7 different doctors!) But ultimately I chose this schedule to change up the working conditions and try to enjoy my job a little more!

Well, I am going to a hockey game tonight and maybe another on Thursday, too! I love hockey, for those of you who may not know that about me. I get to see the newest Predator play and Thursday we play Montreal. I plan on going with Len, Meg and her husband Paul, who is Canadian, so that should be fun.

It has been snowing here like crazy all of February. Not a lot at one time, but lots of little snows. Like on Valentine's it flurried all day long- it was so romantic. We got more snow last night and it still might snow more today. I love snow. Like Lorelai, I believe snow is magical.

Well, that book I am reading is the last in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. I love it, and I am happy I will have closure, but also sad to see it end. I have been contemplating throwing a very very small sisterhood party to celebrate the ending of the books, I would only invite the girls that have read all the books and loved them just as much as I did. We'll see.

Oh, and I got to watch hours of Gilmore Girls w/Alicia last night. I taped them for her while she was in Bolivia for a few months. It's fun to watch it again.

OK,

Sorry I have neglected Xanga.

I have been a little busy, trying to keep up with the most stereotypical resolution to exercise. I have picked up Yoga and Pilates. I enjoy it but I need to do the routines more often. It is the only thing I have found that energizes and relaxes me after I am done "working out."

I have had big events taking place in my friends' and familys' lives...I know 5 engaged couples, two new mothers, one newly expecting mother-to-be (she's in SC, though), one of my friends came back from Bolivia, and my brother just now is not contagious w/mono. Nothing big has happened in my life, still have the pesky dizziness. I am finally going to a neurologist on the 2nd for that. Thank heavens! I do feel like I have made a whole new set of friends at work b/c they moved me about a month ago (in the same dept.) The ladies were saying yesterday afternoon how much I have "opened up and have a beautiful glow about" me. I like getting to know them and a few have MySpace, too! Yes, I have given into the evil empire.

I am going to interview for a promotion at work- up to the level Len is on, but Basic and not Complex, as he is currently. Unfortunately am not sure how many positions open and many from my department applied also. I will find out in Feb or March...

Well, that is all for now. Thanks for reading. Oh, and that book I am reading is too good, better than the movie by far.

Hey, sorry it has been forever since I have written, and there is much to tell.

I was so busy w/the holidays and everything. I went last-minute shopping with my Dad -as per tradition- for all Mom's presents. But we went early b/c I had a vacation planned. We went on Dec. 21- 3 days earlier than the usual Eve. It is still one of the most enjoyable moments in my Christmas celebrations.

Then I had our Sunday School class party. Then we all became horribly ill w/a stomach virus. Once I am over that, the day I return to work, I am convinced I am coming down w/strep. I get tested, but it is only a viral thing that has lasted for 2 weeks now. It is horrible, my throat hurts all day and my nose is still running/congested depending on what time it is. I think I may have to go back to the Dr again.

I had a great Christmas and New Years. Len and I went to NC for over a week. It was wonderful to see his family and our friends. We went to the beach one night just to see the ocean and eat seafood. It was so relaxing, the salt air was therapeutic. I could breathe!!

Now I am back home and at work. I have a special job I do every day but it is getting scary b/c for this task I find out b4 everyone in my unit who is fired. We've literally had 10 plus people get fired or quit w/in the last 2 days. One of them was my friend, William I was going to go into the adjusting class with in Feb. I am bummed!

Okay, here's a treat for those of you who like to read responses to surveys...
