Back from WPPI convention

Well we had to leave the beautiful 76 degree weather in Las Vegas and come back to a snow storm that shut everything down. The good news is we returned before the storm hit. We have a lot to blog about. We shot a 2 day wedding, plus attended our annual WPPI convention. 8 days and 7 nights in Vegas is long; it's great to be back home. (snow or no snow)

We made some great new friends all over the world and bought some more new toys for our business. 2 new lenses, lots of software and more software, my Boda bag, (thanks to Bob Davis introducing me to it), a new pelican case to protect our equiptment for our upcoming destination wedding in Jamacia, and so much more. I know Brides are overwhelmed when they go to bridal shows, try going through 3 tradeshow rooms full of all kinds of great stuff!! The show was awesome; we can't wait to shoot our next wedding. I'll be posting images and more soon.

Lense replacement surgery

Yaaaah; I went last week Thursday for the first eye and go back this week for my other eye. I had lense replacement surgery instead of the lasik eye surgery. It's similar to caterac surgery only better!! I won't ever need anything again, notm even readers. They took out my lense out and out in a new lense. Right now my vision is blurry because one eye is not corrected yet. I have to type with one eye closed to see more clearly... lol. It's awsome; I love it!!

2008 WPPI Convention

So who is planning on going to this years WPPI convention again?? I'd like to try to meet everyone this time. Please let me know so we can all make plans to get together. You can message and send me your cell phone number or something so we can message one another or have a way to connect.

I'd like to take this time to wish all our friends, xanga friends, clients, family and everyone a Happy Holiday.

I've had a lot on my mind lately with my Mom passing. I'm trying to move forward and hoping that this upcoming year will bring much happiness and wishing the same for everyone. The sun is shining today and things are looking brighter. Thank you to all your kind words. May God Bless you all!!

Celebrating the life of my Mother

I'm deeply saddened to say my Mom, Margaret Walitalo passed away from her battle with cancer. Mom passed away on December 1st, at 1:30 am at her home.

I first learned of the news back in March right before we went to the WPPI convention in Las Vegas. It was hard to feel excited about going to the conference. I remember as I was walking through the trade show and feeling like I wasn't into all the excitement of the conference and being there; when the first friendly face I ran into was Missy; now married to Gary Fong. I never had the pleasure of meeting Missy in person before; only through our blog. Missy didn't hesitate to try to make me feel better. She gave me a big hug and asked me to join her in going to see the the next speaker. To my surprise, it was the same one I was going to see. Bob Davis . It was great; she introduced me to a bunch of her close friends; including Jessica Strickland . It helped to get my mind off of things and smile again. Thank you Missy for being such a dear friend. You were there when I truly needed a friend. I'll never forget that. We are planning our trip to the upcoming WPPI convention again and this time we won't be traveling to Arizona first to see Mom before we head to Las Vegas. It just won't be the same.
