What happened to Summer??

This summer went by just a little bit too fast. I remember going to graduations as if it were yesterday, and now it's already SEPT??? I know it's not over just yet, but the fact that Sept's already here is scary, and before i know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. AIYO. >.<

This summer thus far has been a lot of goodbyes. I know each person has their own dreams to pursue and their own lives to live, but I somehow can't help but feel a little bit sad that everyone has either left LA, state/country or SD. [sigh...my plans for being a super senior for one quarter best be good! rawr!!] Even the int'l students that I've grown to be so fond of are leaving one by one. You know that old 50's song that goes..."You say 'hello', and I say "goodbye"? SUCH a classic, and so TRUE! but I'm not worried...since time flies by this quickly, I know that we'll see each other soon enough. ^^

In the meantime, I still have plenty of studying to do. And because I still have all this studying to do, I am just as easily and willingly distracted as before. sigh. Part of me can't wait to be completely done with school. Another part of me wishes to remain a student forever. Right now, the larger part of me is wishing school was really really OVER.

So I was reading Cath's blogs from awhile back...and realized I got tagged and never played this, haha. I guess I'm not very good at keeping up with these things. But I got bored and amused, so here goes. =)

1. I'm not as quiet as I seem, haha.
2. I always thought I was too tall and never appreciated my height till recently.
3. I¡¦m horrible at eating fish with bones still attached.
4. I drink milk everyday.
5. I think I¡¦m a hard person to get to know.
6. I like to sing and dance. Doesn¡¦t mean I¡¦m good at it though.
7. I have a soft spot for people who can play the guitar and sing, even if it's out of tune. =P 
8. If I get angry, I usually hide it. I¡¦m trying to work on that.
9. I love waking up to the warmth and brightness of sunlight.
10. I studied in Taiwan for a year and LOVED it. ^^

Me? Speeding Ticket?

NOT only do i have to pay a ridiculous amount for my speeding ticket...(ok, i've heard of worse cases..but still..didn't think it'd be that much money)...but when i call in to pay for it, they put me on hold forever and play the entire instrumental version of "my heart will go on"!   i mean i guess i'm still not over how they overplayed it back when it first came out! argh! i suppose it's effective...this type of song will make me never speed again cuz i never want to call in again and hear this song again....

i really want the next 2 weeks to be over.~~

Winter Break

FOUR WEEKS of WINTER BREAK...what to do, what to do.

i had a good time with my aptmates last week going around san diego and visiting places we've never been. yay balboa park and hotel del coronado! despite the fact that i got lost both times (one time heading toward mexico), we had a grand time finding our way back, thanks to my very trustworthy wingman, sabrina. =P

i've been slowly cleaning my room, watching cantonese soaps (yay), writing letters...

went with annie and her friend the other day to grace community church (the one john macarthur pastors at!) for their christmas concert~! it is quite the beautiful there and the music, oh my...WONDERFUL! a real symphony orchestra and like a 160 person choir with solos, quartets, bell chiming in the middle...sigh..it was so nice!! it made both of us miss being part of the performing arts..hehe

besides the fact that it is uubber cold these days, and my arm still hurts from a shot i got a few days ago (i find that weird), this break has thus far been pretty chill...back to cleaning out my stuff, hahaha...
