it's raining dogs

I must say...it's been awhile. (I'm pretty sure I put that down every time I write on here...oh well)

So update on our little Rylie.

Camera Pics 133

I call her Rylie Marie when she's really in trouble (that's pretty rare though). All in all, she's been awesome. She is very independent and doesn't come when you call her (she just sits down and looks at you...as if to say...if you want me so bad why don't you come get me yourself...) yes my baby has an attitude.  She does sit, stay, lay down, roll over and can shake sitting, standing, and laying down. She's very smart. She's a snow dog. She loves making snow puppies and digging in the snow, bounding around and getting ridiculously wet. But she loves it...and it's a good thing because we have a lot of it! She's a little shaggy right now...but super cute. We have to take her in to get groomed. She's a little spitfire and we love her.

We love her so much...we got her a sister...

Meet Vega.

Camera Pics 147

She's a purebred golden retriever. Unlike Rylie, she loves her sleep.

Rylie loves having someone to fight with. They're both pretty good fighters.

We will be training Vega this spring/summer to be our hunting dog. She'll be a pheasant dog and a duck/bird dog. She is already retrieving toys for us and when she's not getting pounced on by Rylie, she is pretty laid back.

Camera Pics 149

This is a picture of Vega and her sister Ruby the day we brought them home (our good friends have Ruby). Vega is on the right. They crawled up in the back window of the car and fell asleep. Such cuties...

My sister then bought their brother and named him Tucker. So of the 6 littermates, we have 3 of them. They will all be hunters and we're so excited.  They love being able to hang out with and fight each other. It's great.

So we've added to our little family once again (next time it will be a baby...after a while though)

Merry Christmas and have a great transition into 2008!!!!

When 2 become 3... :)

We have added a little addition to our family.

Meet Riley....

She's our new baby. A cavalier/westie mix. Our little "golden retriever"

She's a bundle of energy and tons of fun. And super cute to boot.

She's so great and was so good meeting her cousin Mady and everyone else.

We are now a family of three..and so very happy about it.

So I've finished my Master Cleanse. (applause)

10 days of lemonade and water

I finished. Hooray for me!

Yes there were days I wanted to cheat so badly. But I held off and am proud that I did.

So today is my 2nd day off the cleanse. I've been eating watermelon, canteloupe, bananas and green beans.

I did lose 11 pounds  though. Yeah again!

It's good to be smaller.

Next Week: Tues through Sun. Fourth of July chillin. Up north, sun, water, jet ski's, good friends. It doesn't get better than this.

...mastercleanse...rodeos...goodbyes...

...mastercleanse...

today I am on day 4 of my 'detox' if you will. I am very content. that makes me happy. here's a rundown of how it has been so far.

Day 1 (Monday): Nothing too crazy. I took the day off of work, slept in till 12:30 and downed 8 glasses of lemonade and 1 cup of tea before going to bed.

Day 2: Most of the day was great. By mid-afternoon I was getting a migraine. Migraine+MasterCleanse=NO Excedrin. Dumb. So after work, I went home, slept for two hours (Meanwhile Curtis cleaned...smile!) woke up, had 2 more glasses of lemonade and 1 cup of tea. tried to fall back asleep and ended up losing everything I just drank. not good. and I couldn't get back to sleep due to the stupid migraine.

Day 3: Still had a bad headache all day (apparantly it's a detox symptom). worked on through it. went to a pool party at my sisters' and drank lemonade while everyone else (except my sis) chowed down on brats/burgers/hotdogs, pasta salads and steak fries.  the best part...i was content. :) mostly anyways

Day 4: So far it's gone great. my headache has been minimal, I'm not hungry. I'm okay being around food. I know I'm not going to eat it. It's powerful learning to say no to food.

Tomorrow is day 5 and I'll be half over. Then 2 days over the weekend which will be much easier and it's practically over. Not bad.

...rodeo...

the buffalo championship rodeo is this weekend. it's the oldest rodeo in MN. awesome. it's awesome.

i'm going tonight and tomorrow. the best parts...mutton bustin' and the broncos

can't wait!

...goodbyes...

my friend Andrew is leaving on Saturday for the Air Force. it's really sad because he's probably only ever going to come back to visit. it's not fun knowing/thinking you may not see a person again. it's been his dream since forever to be a pilot in the air force and i commend him on pursuing his dream. he's doing what he's always wanted to do. but at the same time...once your dreams happen (or are on their way to happening) everyone seems to become unsure about how they feel. it's hard to leave family and friends and not know when you'll get to come back home. so we are rodeoing is up tonight as a last hurrah before he leaves.
