it's raining dogsI must say...it's been awhile. (I'm pretty sure I put that down every time I write on here...oh well) So update on our little Rylie.
I call her Rylie Marie when she's really in trouble (that's pretty rare though). All in all, she's been awesome. She is very independent and doesn't come when you call her (she just sits down and looks at you...as if to say...if you want me so bad why don't you come get me yourself...) yes my baby has an attitude. She does sit, stay, lay down, roll over and can shake sitting, standing, and laying down. She's very smart. She's a snow dog. She loves making snow puppies and digging in the snow, bounding around and getting ridiculously wet. But she loves it...and it's a good thing because we have a lot of it! She's a little shaggy right now...but super cute. We have to take her in to get groomed. She's a little spitfire and we love her.
We love her so much...we got her a sister... Meet Vega.
She's a purebred golden retriever. Unlike Rylie, she loves her sleep. Rylie loves having someone to fight with. They're both pretty good fighters. We will be training Vega this spring/summer to be our hunting dog. She'll be a pheasant dog and a duck/bird dog. She is already retrieving toys for us and when she's not getting pounced on by Rylie, she is pretty laid back.
This is a picture of Vega and her sister Ruby the day we brought them home (our good friends have Ruby). Vega is on the right. They crawled up in the back window of the car and fell asleep. Such cuties... My sister then bought their brother and named him Tucker. So of the 6 littermates, we have 3 of them. They will all be hunters and we're so excited. They love being able to hang out with and fight each other. It's great. So we've added to our little family once again (next time it will be a baby...after a while though) Merry Christmas and have a great transition into 2008!!!!
