For those of you unsure...it really is a quality film.  First, look at it...it's a PG movie.  You don't see that too often.  There really isn't any language problems and no crude humor.  I digress.  Although it's not strictly following the bible, it reminds me of a modern day telling of an age-old story...something most people know.  I enjoyed it and it really is a great family movie.  If you want something 'world-ly' funny...then you won't like this.  Compare it to Bruce Almighty....I'm not sure...I like this one better.  It was good and Steve Carell is good here : )  So yes, take your kids and have a nice time with this : )
