Tomorrow marks the start of Lent! What's everyone giving up?

I've decided to give up ALL FAST FOOD, and yes I said ALL! That means White Castle, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Checkers, KFC, etc., etc. I was able to do it last year, so I've decided to do it again, as well as CHOCOLATE too! I know, I'm crazy! lol

It's gonna be hard, but hey I'll be able to do it! (I hope!) Hopefully the KFC, White Castle, BK, and MickeyDs I've had the past week will be able to hold me over for the next 40 days! We'll seeeeeeeeeeee!

Situation: My co-workers and I are making plans to go out after-work next week.

Veronica: "What about that lounge we had gone to after the '04 holiday party?"

Me: "Ooooh! That was a nice place. Is there A DANCING?"

Co-workers: "HAHAHAHAHHAH WHAT A F.O.B.!!!!"

Every first business day of the month, I have to work late since my group has to do the month-end close for the investment accounting department. Being that I could come in late, I usually catch the last bus which is 8:40 and then just shop the rest of the morning before heading into the office around 11. By 8:20, the park and ride is full, but sometimes I get lucky. If not, I park really far in the old shut down Home Depot's parking lot. Yesterday morning I woke up really late, couldn't find parking, and just decided to park in the lots next to the p&r (Staples/Joyce Leslie/Rag Shop). BAD IDEA. My car got TOWED!? Reason being no commuter parking. WTF?! I parked in a big ass lot which isn't even usually busy. It's not like I parked in a small lot which belonged to a busy store! And why'd they have to tow my car? Couldn't I just get a ticket?! UGH! The DAMAGE?

$275.61 (LESSON TO NEVER PARK IN A STORE'S LOT LEARNED THE HARD WAY!!!)

Does towing really cost that much?! My car was towed to Perth Amboy!! That's only about 25 minutes away!!!! What the hell!? You definitely know that the stores work with the towing companies and probably get a kickback of some sort. Why are there so many mean people in this world!

The Bahamas

Come March, I'll be in beautiful Paradise Island in the Bahamas lying on the beach, feet in the sand, drink in my hand, soaking up the rays! 

I've booked an all-inclusive package for 5 sun-filled days and 4 glorious nights! Thank you for all your suggestions! They really helped! It was among Mexico (Cancun, Cabo San Lucas), Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Aruba, and the Bahamas. My first choice was actually Mexico, but the days I'm taking off fall during Spring Break, and there is absolutely no way I would let my Cancun or Cabo experience be tainted with "Girls Gone Wild" college students. lol Next time though!

Geez, I never realized the stresses that go into planning a vacation, but I guess you get the hang of it after a while huh? For those that have been to the Bahamas, I'd appreciate any input on places to visit or things to do. Thanks! Now, this should definitely give me motivation to diet and exercise huh?! hehe
