a brief update

thanks for the positive thoughts! My mom was in the hospital my last week of med school and was not released until my graduation. So I flew home 2 days after graduation and went with her to doctor appointments etc. Everything looks stable for right now. I thought her family doctor was such a jerk. He was mad because the hospital changed her protocol of medications. He is an old school doctor so I thought his choices were a bit extreme as well. I'm going to side with the team of doctors at the hospital. I lost respect for the guy when he was huffy puffy about the same drug and was convinced he was giving the better one because it was the trade name versus the generic name. Anyhow, she's doing fine. No surgeries scheduled at this time. Looks like I am moving back to the Bay Area. Probably joining a practice in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Saratoga ish areas...

Vegas for this past weekend with a friend and his mother was pretty awesome. It was really "Wow!" I mean, VIP, in Vegas is truly over the top. Limo ride pick up from and drop of to airport, Bellagio suites are nice, the restaurants (Olive, Bellagio Cafe, and Sensi) were amazing, Coldplay seats at the MGM were great, "O" tickets last minute was still in amazing seats and the show itself was breath taking... I treated myself to the Spa at the Bellagio. I definitely recommend it!! Deluxe massage with hot oil head massage & a Vichy shower treatments were incredible.
Getting to know a friend better while hanging out and staying up way too late... and playing random iphone games was nice as well! hehe, we took random cheesy pictures at the "O" show. Didn't know she would pose us and all... maybe I'll show you if you ask me

Even though this year has been eye opening in ways I could never imagine... I feel lucky to be surrounded by dear family and wonderful friends! My strength and character has been tested through these years and yet I still survived and I believe have become stronger...

Now, it's serious studying time! Please send me good positive thoughts and pray for me daily! Boards August 6-8, 2008.

yen pearls*

Just wanted to share some yen pearls for a better life

1) Treat your A/C kindly in Arizona. So run it at about 81 degrees! :) Otherwise an older unit may not last as long...

2) Donate blood - it will help someone!
Also, it's a good way to know that your partner is clear of serious STDs too. (HIV, Hep B, Hep C, syphillis, and you learn about blood type, liver enzymes)

3) pay $14.99 for ID theft protection. 1/4 people are victims and I was one. Chase baby! whoever you pick is your choice.

4) If one of those cement dirt trucks are in front of you... make a turn, get off the freeway, find a new route.... so you are in front. It will save you $$$ on a new windshield! (just spent $190!)

5) treat others how you would like to be treated. karma baby... it will hurt one day! or take care of you in a good way!

that's all for today.

woo.... it's July 2!!! 10 more days till you call me Dr. Tran
(by virtue of a doctorate... officially a physician after the state grants me a license)

Massachusetts !!!

MAKE A CALL FOR ACTION

Do you have friends or family in Massachusetts? Ask each and every one of them to call the Senate Ways & Means Committee, 617-722-1481, in support of naturopathic licensing bill S.1321. Ask the committee to pass the bill favorably ASAP!

And let's make this a phone tree by having your friends and family ask at least two more people to call, and so on...and so on....Our time is short in Massachusetts (the session ends late July) and our opportunity large. Let's prove one more time this year that naturopathic medicine is the future of health care for this country!

THANK YOU!!!!!!
