  • "Pray for ALL"

I received this in an e-mail and thought it was fitting for everyone.  It's kind of long but worth reading.

Please take a moment to relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ.  Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer.  Please share this prayer with all your family, friends, and others.

Dear Lord,  I thank You for this day.  I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.  I am blessed because You are a forgiving God and an Understanding God.  You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.  Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.  I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.  Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.  Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.  Let me continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil.  And, when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth of my wrongdoing, and receive forgiveness.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example - to slip away and find a quiet place to pray.  It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.  I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.  Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.  Keep me strong that I may help the weak.  Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.  I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way.  I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood.  I pray for those who don't know You intimately.  I pray for those who will not read and share this prayer with others.  I pray for those who don't believe.  But, I thank you that I believe.

I believe that You change people and You change things for good reasons.  I pray for all my sisters and brothers.  For each and everyone of my family members and friends and their families.  I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You.  Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.  I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

    This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name, Amen       (Please share with others)

  • "Twas' the night Jesus came"

I don't know who wrote this, but it came on an e-mail and would like to pass it around.

    Twas' the night Jesus came
    And all through the house,
    Not a person was praying,
    Not one in the house..

    The Bible was left
    On the shelf without care,
    For no one thought
    Jesus would come there..

    The children were dressing
    To crawl into bed,
    Not once ever kneeling
    Or bowing their head...

And Mom in the rocking chair
    With babe on her lap,
    Was watching the Late Show
    As I took a nap..

    When out of the east
    There rose such a clatter,
    I sprang to my fee
To see what was the matter..

    Away to the window
    I flew like a flash
    Tore open the shutters
    And lifted the sash..

    When what to my wondering
    Eyes should appear,
    But Angels proclaiming
    That Jesus was here.....

    The light of His face
    Made me cover my head......
    Was Jesus returning
    Just like He'd said...

    And though I possessed
    Worldly wisdom and wealth
I cried when I saw Him
    In spite of myself........

    In the Book of Life
Which he held in his hand,
    Was written the name
    Of every saved man.....

    He spoke not a word
As he searched for my name,
When He said "it's not here"
    My head hung in shame....

    The people whose names
    Had been written with love,
    He gathered to take
    To his Father above..

    With those who were ready
    He rose without a sound,
    While all the others
    Were left standing around....

    I fell to my knees
    But it was too late,
    I'd waited too long
    And thus sealed my fate.

    I stood and I cried
As they rose out of sight,
    Oh, if only I'd known
    That this was the night.

In the words of this poem
    The maeaning is clear
    The coming of Jesus
    Is now drawing near....

    There's only one life
And when comes the last call,
We'll find out the the Bible
    Was true after all.

  • "Please Forgive"

I made a mistake and posted something that should have NOT been posted.  I absolutely do not tolerate gossip and intended what I wrote to be private and for a family member.  So, if I've offended anyone, please forgive me as I am truely sorry.
