first off, im liking the new entry box on xanga. the features are pretty sweet. props to the tech nerds who will get a 4 figure salary for the months of work they did on this.
seondly, yes, i know i said i was done. but guess what- its MY site, and i can do whatever i want. but the fact that youre reading this proves that you havent lost interest entirely- not yet, anyway.
here's why i updated. troops in iraq have a new genius plan for destroying terrorism in the country. go door to door. i call it operation: girl scout cookies. honestly, we've got these people in one of the most unsafe places in the world knocking on doors. mrs abdul answers. "hi, mrs abdul" says the us troop. "are you, your husband, or any members of your family, militants trying to kill me- check yes or no on this paper."
mrs abdul answers no.
"thank you for your time, mrs. abdul." the troop turns away and suddenly mr. abdul comes out of the bathroom and opens fire on them.
don't think im just trying to be an insensitive bastard. this is honestly the best we've got? this is our genious exit strategy? ruling out each house in iraq (of which there must be millions). the problem is- if you're thorough enough to be able to tell for sure whether they're any threat... itll take years. and if you go for speed, youre not solving anything.
cmon, bush. im on your side here, but if this is the best you've got, i'm not too sure my support is in the right place. there has to be a better way. |
