Girl Stabs Herself to Death in Sleep
Jenna Elmbers was found on the floor beside her bed Sunday morning, covered in bloodstained sheets, her body twisted and mangled.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police reports found no evidence of any person or persons entering or breaking into the 15 year-old girl's bedroom, and no DNA traces were found, other than the girl's own.
This case was asked not to be covered by major media because of "fragile issues" surrounding it, but now, after much dispute, local police are asking for anyone with any information to call the county police tip hotline.
New reports from the coroner's department determine that her body was in a temporary state of arrested comatose, or unconsciousness when she repeatedly thrust the 7-inch blade into her chest.
Further reports reveal that it was after the girl's heart had been pierced and had ceased to function that she was thrown violently around her room, breaking several ribs and her left wrist as she was flung as high as the ceiling.
Blood smears and indents in the plaster leave investigators baffled at the impact in which she met the walls and the immense amount of force needed to inflict this kind of damage.
The parents declined to comment.
