| Long Time 4 Nov 06Well, as some of you might know, I was on leave for a while. I went back home and enjoyed being able to wake up at 9' every day! How wonderful. I think the highlight of leave was when me and momma went together to the Great Smokey Mountains! Such a wonderful time! Plus it was good for a momma's boy to get to spend 1 on 1 time with him momma. Unfortunately I dont have any crazy stories, or adventures to tell of so thats kinda shot. I would like to send a shout out to a special lady who ive just met...yeah, you know who you are!. nuff said. O yeah, my good buddy here in Germany (Ross) who is in Iraq right now unfortunately sent me an email saying that they had an NBC reporter embedded with them for a couple days. The story finally aired, and he was in it! Ross is the one in the video who is providing care to the wounded Iraqi, check him out! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15533694/ Riddle of the day!!! You are on a galloping horse........
You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed.
On your right side is a sharp drop off, on your left is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.
Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it.
Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and another kangaroo.
What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?
Get your drunk behind off the Merry-go-round!

| Thursday, 7 September 2006 Hey, once again I return of travels to far away lands, and adventures.....Ok, not really. However I have been off work for more than a week now, due to messing my back up! I was playing raquet ball with some blue haired germans that I work with (For those of you who dont know the reference to "blue hair", it means Old People) and kinked my back a little. That got me several days off work. Well, since my back was filling a little better, I decided to go on another whitewater/canyoning trip with my friends here. Now, me being the responsible one that I am, decided that since I had previously had back problems, It would behoove me to stay behing. So I did..........Only to get hurt from trying to stand up out of my chair!!! So this time, I was so bad, I couldnt walk, and had to be taken to take another all expenses paid trip to an Austrian hospital for the night!!! whew hew. So now i have more days off work. Today was my first day back to work since the original problem, and im still in alot of pain, and taking drugs like crazy. I love the Army in the fact that they dont look at "what you cant do"....they look at "what you CAN do" so of course they have me back to work, and scheduled to go out to train in the field next week!!! I am NOT happy! lo Johns Joke of the Day:

| Sunday, September 20 2006Ok, so ive been catching some flak since its been so long in which ive posted so here goes.....
Yesterday was absolutely jam packed. Yesterday morning I had to wake up at 6 am, and after going to bed only an hour before!!!!! I had to be up at 6 to help out with a car show. I had somehow managed to be the MC of the whole thing which most of you who know me well enough know that I love being upfront and in the spotlight so I liked it alot. So I go to the car show and work most the morning. Which by the way was nice being the MC when we had a special guest apperance by the Frankfurt Galaxy Cheerleaders! (Frankfurt Galaxy is a European football team)

So then I had to leave the car show early, and go straight to a German sand volley ball tournament that I got invited to play in with my friends Carsten, Christen, and Swen. These guys have hosted the tournament for 6 years now and have never been able to win it. But yesterday, we took home the Gold!!! whew hew. It was great. But im so sore from it. I even had a crowd of Germans there huddled around me as I was showing them how to properly throw a football. ha ha, they always love it. when i finally got home from everything, I was so tired, that I crashed on my couch and slept for 13 hours. And here I am now. Later today, we have our draft for our fantasy football league so wish me luck! | | |

| Tuesday, July 18 2006WOW!!!, What an incredible weekend! It went something like this:
Friday: Drove from Grafenwoehr, Germany to somewhere in Austria with 12 companions, mostly German police and embassy workers; Then arrive in Austrian Alps and get dressed for white water rafting. The rafting trip was wonderful b/c its a river of nothing but glacier water coming from the Alps!!!, man was it cold!: Then friday night we drove up to the complete top (about a 45 minute drive) of the mountain! What a site. We stayed on this farm that had a resturaunt and small barnlike loft that was a hotel for the night. It was comforting to know that we were the only Americans that have EVER been up there! So then I had a huge honor bestowed upon me when this one guy who is working up there poured me a beer. No big deal right? Wrong. He is an official German "Brewmaster" which takes 7 years of schooling/working to complete. Me and a co-worker were the only people he has ever poured a beer for!!!

Then the next day, we get up and eat a Austrian breakfast on the top of the mount as the sun is coming up! wonderful! We head back down the mountain to go "Canyoning" Canyoning is just walking through the creek canyon down the mountain. However there are places that you have to make 50ft. rappells, you have to cliff jump into the water, there were natural water slides that make water parks look like sunday evening walks, and several other experiences along the way. So we head back home and watched Click which is a great movie, I almost cried.
Johns Joke of the Day:
-
How the Bible would have been different if written by college students:
Loaves and Fishes would be replaced by Pizza and Chips.
Ten Commandments would actually be only five, but because they are double-spaced and written in a large font, they look like ten.
Forbidden fruit would have not been eaten because it wasn't dorm food.
Paul's Letters to the Romans become Paul's E-Mail to the Romans.
Reason Cain killed Abel: They were roommates.
The place where the end of the world occurs, not the Plains of Armageddon, rather Finals.
Tower of Babel blamed for Foreign Language requirement. Reason why Moses and followers walked in desert for 40 years: They didn't want to ask directions and look like freshmen.
Instead of God creating the world in six days and resting on the seventh, He would have put it off until the night before it was due and then pulled an all-nighter and hoped no one noticed.
