| My husband has been in England now for 10 days, and we still have 12 days until he will be home. He is having a wonderful time and learning a lot. The kids and I are also doing well back at home, but we miss him so much. We made a paper chain to count the days until he comes home. Every night we pull a link off the chain, and have a prayer time together where we pray for Daddy and his ministry in England. We are so thankful to live in the community we are in because I have a lot of support close by. In fact, we had a tarantula on the wall just outside our door one night. I made one phone call and had four men here to catch the tarantula within about 10 minutes! My boys have cricket duty every night. They use the broom to kill as many crickets as possible as they come in the other side of our home. Thankfully, the crickets never seem to come down the hall to our apartment. I am so excited to see God working in my husband's life. So many opportunities seem to be coming his way as he begins his Master of Arts in Theology. My prayer is that I will always be a support to him, and that my selfishness will not hinder his ability to do and go wherever God may call him. "Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths, guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5 | | |
| Rain, rain go away!It has been raining here for days! Last night there was some pretty extreme flooding in town. We even got a call from a client of ours from California that saw a story on the Weather Channel about our town. You know it is bad when the Weather Channel visits your little town! We are currently having Vacation Bible School at the farm. Last night the workers who were supposed to do recreation had gone into town before VBS and were unable to get back on the farm because the road leading into the farm was under 4 feet of water! It is beginning to get a little scary around here especially since we keep hearing that it is supposed to keep raining like this for at least the next two days! Please pray for my son's teacher also. Yesterday she told me that if they got anymore heavy rain that her house would be flooded. Last night on the 10 o'clock news I heard that she got 5 inches of rain yesterday where she lives. I'm sure that her house has probably flooded. Please keep her family in your prayers. Praying for sunshine! April | | |

| The NativityLast night we went to opening night of "The Nativity Story". It was a great movie. I really want to encourage people to go see it. I know for our family it was a great way to prepare our hearts and minds for the Christmas season. In fact, we are planning on buying it when it comes out on DVD so that our family can watch it together each year. I was very pleased with the way they portrayed the movie. The filmmakers actually let the events speak for themselves without adding a bunch of fluff. You can find out more about the movie at www.thenativitystory.com. | | |
