I tried it last night and loved it. A fun recreational activity consisting of sitting on ice blocks and then sliding down very steep hills. Just one of the reasons I love the Palouse hills around Pullman. And I am so thankful for creative friends who get me to do this things. Oh, and we totally got in trouble for it too. Well, at least talked to, I guess it's a liability threat for the school to do it down a hill that as it ends at a blind corner of the street. It was so much fun! | | |
| A funny thing happened the other day...My Dad and some of the guys from his work climbed Mount St. Helens. Cool. I've always thought I would like to do that again. But the real adventure came at about 3:15, when the mountain decided to have a mini-eruption. Oh, and did I mention, they were about 45 minutes down from the top (which is not very far - like less than a mile). Part of what's so cool is that they didn't hear, just felt the earthquake...and then saw the ash plume rise up out of the crater. I totally wish I could have been there! | | |
| So, I've spent long enough trying to figure out what to write about. :) But after our football game yesterday, have officially decided something needs to change with Cougar Football. We cannot win anything! At least within the conference, U of I and Baylor just are not the same as they are not Pac10. And yesterday was our Homecoming game, too! Sad day! Last year's Homecoming was at least an exciting game as we almost beat UCLA. We just looked bad yesterday...and for some unknown reason coach put in our second-string quarterback at the start of the second half. It was sad to watch! Other than that, life has been really good. Upon realizing I was this side of a breakdown, I dropped Chemistry. I have never dropped anything before, actually, I've never quit anything before. It felt really weird...and I'm not sure how I really feel about it. But I have a life again and to quote my mother am now "back to the land of the living." It's wonderful to sleep again! Anyway, that's life here and I have now proved I know how to do this. :) | | |
