i feel like time passes very slowly in the middle of the night.
sometimes...
when i'm up late like this...
and the city is very still...
and relatively quiet...
and it all blends into the faded orange night sky...
i feel like i'm a part of it.

i feel like...

i feel like... the greyness is doing a sad number on my soul.
i feel like... tuesday, home, and thanksgiving seems ages away...but not.
i feel like... i am ::very:: sad that i won't be home for christmas.
i feel like... i shouldn't cry about it... but i do.
i feel like... the tangled knot, in the chain of your necklace, that's hopelessly twisted.
i feel like... i always gave up on those stupid knots... and while those were knots and this is my life... it still lacks encouragement.

the green rolling hills....

are the nearest thing to heaven that i know

though the times are sad and drear

and i cannot linger here...

so i'll move away into some crowded city

in some northern factory town you'll find me...

but someday i'll go back...

to the green rolling hills i love so well

yes someday i'll go home...
