| I just at an entire baby chicken all in one bite. Granted, the outside was yellow candy and the inside was marshmallowy goodness, but still, it's a baby chicken. And it's named after the cute sound a baby chicken makes...

| So I'm big time into reading comics now. Like BIG time. Nice to actually have some extra funds I can use like that. With Secret Invasion starting next month, I just wanted to put my skrull predictions on paper.
Reed Richards. Stark is too obvious, he and Reed really bounce a lot off of each other.
Luke Cage. Gotta be, out of all the New Avengers, I think he is most likely.
Cyclops. He made a killing squad, and Brubaker threw in a little nod that he may not know ALL of x-men's history this month
Mary Jane and Mephisto? That would be crazy. This one's just a wild guess.
I also think a Cap Skrull will show up attempting to be Cap back from the dead.
Definitely one of the females in Mighty Avengers. I don't think Spiderwoman, maybe Ms Marvel.
It would be nuts if Cable was a skrull. Saves the first baby mutant in years, jumps forward in time, and then is really a skrull.

| Wow, I can't believe this football season. How amazing; hooray for the Buckeyes, but honestly, this is what should be happening.

LSU
West Virginia
Virginia Tech
USC
Hawaii
Brigham Young
These teams should be seeded and play each other in a 3 round playoff. The 6 BCS conferences send their champions, and then the two strongest non-BCS conference champions, Hawaii from the WAC and Brigham Young from the Mountain West. They all play this Saturday, or maybe next Saturday. The winners move on to the round of 4. These 2 games would be during the normal bowl games in a normal prestigious bowl, like the Orange and Sugar Bowls. The winners would then play in the national championship and we would have a real champion. We wouldn't have to worry about the rankings, about undefeated teams from a weaker conference being left out, about 'if only they had played', about shared titles, about west coast/east coast biases, or about weak schedules. Heck, it'd give more incentive to schedule brutal non-conference games to boost your seed at the end of the year, or better prepare your team for conference play. Plus, it would be so awesome to have an exciting playoff to watch in college football. All the other divisions do it, every other sport does it, why can't they?!

| Ugh. I'm getting tired of hearing people complain about the whole "Beowulf didn't sleep with Grendel's mom in the book!" thing. First, it's not a book; it's an epic poem. Second, the whole point is the legend said Grendel's mom was hideous, everyone thought she was hideous, only Hroogar and Beowulf knew the truth. Beowulf tries to tell Wiglaf, but Wiglaf wants to continue believing the same story they've had their whole life. And he continues to tell, as does the rest of the world, so that is what is passed down to us. The movie relays what 'really happened'. I thought it was very inventive, creative, and original, and made the story much more interesting.
So for all of you who think it doesn't follow the original story, well, that's kinda the whole point. Try to keep up next time.
