Can't exactly remember what brought us there last Saturday... We were walking and walking and ended up at Ann Siang Hill. Feeling touristy as we walked down the quiet streets.... took lots of pictures with of the huge wooden doors and floral tiles on the walls along the five-foot-way. We later realise while viewing the photos that while she deliberately took a photo with the number 26, which is her birth day, I also coincidentally took a photo beside the door of unit 30! (See photo below)
Posing with graffiti works in a back lane....
Also explored some clothing boutiques and a book store which we loved - Books Actually. RS loved the books and I loved the deco... very country and homey feeling. RS bought a book which contained 3 sequels to the Wizard of Oz which she is totally loved and enjoy reading. She's beginning to feel the lost and emptiness, just like every other time when she's finishing a good book.... Can't wait to find out the ending but at the same time, can't bear to finish reading and exit into the world of reality!
The shop also housed a lot of oldie stuff besides books which I have long forgotten. One of them is this basketball toy which I remember I once owned one exactly the same! How I wished I still had it with me... then I can display it in my room or my future boutique cafe.(dream)
Last week was a very busy week with 2 days occupied by a conference, 1 day of MC and work, work and more work for the rest of the days. I am still nursing a bad throat n cough which I also unintentionally spread to 3 other colleagues around me. Was recommended by a colleage to drink more honey mix with lemon juice... I did that yesterday.... 1 whole litre of it! Quite effective... Feeling better...but I want more! Dun want to spread the virus later at my niece's 1 year old party later...
Here's an outdated post... it happened last Sunday when my family, total of 12 pax, made a trip to Pulau Ubin to visit a temple, a little bit of sight seeing and unimpressive seafood...
We board the bumper boat from Changi Terminal. Price had increased from $2 to $2.50 per pax per way. Group of 12 that occupies the full boat doesn't get any discount but at least we didn't have to wait for the boat to be full before moving....
As usual the aunties, including my mother, started the number guessing game (4D) once the engine started. With a paper and pen on her hands, they started writing down the date, the no. of pax, and of cos the boat number...
Fish feeding from a wooden bridge with Nicole...
A group potrait at the pond...
Random shots...
RS enjoying the breeze on our way back...
An "artistic" picture of JS by RS to end the trip.
A song sung for Sichuan heroes (Performed by Kitty and friends) ... With love from Singapore
An email from Kitty this morning:
Just wanna drop a note to say that me and my group of friends (we call ourselves ZPGY aka 猪朋狗友) recently composed/ produced a song 謝謝你, 就是你, inspired by the recent Sichuan earthquake. We hope to spread it to China and even share with the rest of the world.
The ZPGYs comprise of local singers, musicians, and others. Some familiar faces you might spot include Kewei, Chanel, Ruth, Dawn, etc. We all came together as one and piece this whole project with our efforts.
The song mixing and video filming/ editing may not be as professional, but it contains our blood and perspiration.
We’re in the midst of negotiating to have our song included in a compilation album.
Till then, I hope to share this self-filmed MV with you and pls do continue to spread our love to your friends and let it chain on!!!
Hope you like it. :)
Don't forget to leave comments after u view the video!!
Kitty
PS: OK I look horrible in the video (bad lighting, bad makeup, bad angle, bad everything). .. but I'm willing to sacrifice... Hahahaha!
