to all my little trinitites...

um... when's homecoming?

the road of life is just kinda interesting. i know it is cliche of me to say that. infact, i'm not even sure where i want to go with that statement.

i guess i just feel like i'm just truckin along with a map in my lap and i have no idea which little dot is my destination point. i see every highway, road, interstate, etc. but i don't know which one to take. the Lord will tell me to take a specific interstate and i'm like "hey that leads straight into austin. austin... that must be my destination. i like austin, lots of people, blah blah blah ... blah blah..." but turns out i'm only on the interstate for 5.3 miles and then God says to exit onto highway 83... and i see that leads to the next place and then i start making plans for that destination.

 i don't know if this makes any sense? this cycle is kind of exhausting. i know i know... the sunday school answer... "Ashley, just trust God". ya see...i'm just not good at the whole trust thing.  i know that when i post this i will get a bunch of spiritual responses and scripture and that isn't really what i'm looking for... or maybe it is... i don't know. the thing is i've heard those things before(and given there might be something that i need to hear and that i haven't learned) i don't want the worn out sunday schoool answers that make anyone want to gag. i think that maybe we overcomplicate this God thing. maybe the whole point to this journey is not that you are suppose to always have all the answers .... but you learn as you go, not by being Bible beaten over the head with it... but by trial and error, through fun and hard times and scary times and wonderful times and sad and angry and happy times... just like with any other  relationship.

anyway... there is my pondering of the day. take it as you will...
