| Oh my goodness, It's been almost two months since I have updated this thing. So much has happened in the past two months....really good things. So i started my senior year about four weeks ago and so far things are going well....I wish i didn't have to go to class but i guess that comes with the territory. god has placed some new really special people in my life and i am so grateful for that. I am loving being with all my friends all the time....i sure missed them over the summer. so yesterday i was sitting in world geography and we were looking at the map of the united states and i looked up at washington and i got this really weird homesick feeling. i miss everyone in washington so much!!! it's like i left part of myself and my family up there...it stinks. i so want to go back like right now. maybe i'll go visit soon or something. but yeah things are going really well! how is everyone else doing? | | |
| Wow, it is so hard to believe the month of July is almost over....it's terribly sad!!! So this past week was youth week and we really had a great time! We played with terribly cold water and had a grunge war where we threw horse oats, flour, and shaving cream at each other. It was sooooo gross but we had a blast! Last night was the youth lock-in...i tried to stay awake all night but I didn't succeed. I had to take a two hour nap and then I slept until like the middle of the afternoon...it was so glorious! Anyway, so it was super sad to tell tim and austin bye last night and this morning. I hate goodbyes....they're no fun at all. katie and I just don't know what to do with it being just us here now. Anyway, for all you who care, the GIRLS won the punchbug competition with the boys. That made for some really stressful trips in the van!I have two more days here in Washington. It's gonna be really hard to tell everyone goodbye on sunday and monday....i don't wanna do it. Maybe I'll just rebel and stay here forever. No, i can't do that. maybe i'll just have to come back and visit sometime...we'll just have to see! Anyway, god is so awesome and I have learned a whole lot this summer. I am so blessed to have this opportunity! Louisiana here i come!

| Hmmm...I should probably update this thing even though no one ever comments. kinda disappointing...does anyone even read this?!?! anyway, these past two weeks have been great! we have been really busy but it has been so worth it. the first week we handed out fliers and practiced skits and decorated for vbs. this past week was vbs and i helped with the 5th and 6th graders. my conclusion of the week: my own personal children are going to skip from the 4th grade to the 7th grade. but we did have fun! on friday we had this huge water balloon fight and yes i hate to be wet but i must say it was a lot of fun...even when i had a big ole like 20 gallon bucket of ice cold water poured on me...it felt like i was drowning! LOL this next week we are doing some sight seeing. i'm pretty pumped about it! all the people up here are great! we are having a blast! katie, austin (jimmy joe jett), and i get along really well and we always have a good ole time. actually when katie and i get to going austin can't keep up with us....maybe it's cause he's from alabama  ...i don't know! anyway, i'll update again soon!

| Alright so it's been a while. Let me update my last week and a half for you! So we finally got back from vacation last Monday night after spending 26 hours in the washington d.c. airport. Yeah we slept in the terminal chairs....so not comfortable, but we lived. I spent the next few days spending time with all my special people before I left to come to washington. I think I pretty much saw everyone that I wanted to. Then I boarded the plane on saturday and now I am here. we are having a blast so far. the weather is so nice, even chilly at times. We surely aren't used to that but yeah I have had to wear a sweatshirt in the summer....craziness!!! We are picnicking this afternoon and then watching a huge firework show tonight. It's gonna be great! God is so awesome and I am so blessed to have this opportunity to serve Him! Happy 4th of july everybody!

| Ok so lots of stuff has happened since the last time I updated this thing. I finished my internship which I am really glad about. It is kind of sad because I miss the people but it is nice to have that behind me. Last week I went to LC for frosh days. That was ummm....interesting for many reasons. I'm not gonna elaborate but yeah it's always fun to meet the incoming freshman. I had a great group....enjoyed hanging out with them! Right now we are in pennsylvania on family vacation. It was quite an adventure getting here....i'll have to elaborate later! Yesterday we went to the hershey factory!! and today we went to the amish country....i could never live like they do! On friday we are going to NYC!!! I am really pumped about it! Ummm...well, in about a week and a half I go to Washington. I am soooo excited....i know God has some awesome things in store and I can't wait to find out what it is! | | |
