BOY LEAVES, GIRL IS TAKEN OFF LIFE SUPPORT, AND DIES.
but what the boy didn't know is that the girl only asked him those questions so she could hear him say it one last time, and she only broke up w/him because she knew she only had 3 more weeks to live, and thought it would cause him less pain and give him time to get over her before she died.
NEXT DAY
the boy is found dead with a gun in his hand..with a note in the other...
THE NOTE SAID:i told her i would take a bullet for her....just like she said she would die for me...

| Yay for days off and sleeping in! woo hoo! I love my amazing boyfriend. As the girls put it, "he's a keeper" haha. Yup, sho' is. haha.  I can't wait for my parents to come down in a few weeks for my dad's birthday! He's going to be so surprised! (I hope!) Planning on making him an awesome cake and buying some cool decorations for their hotel room and having it ready for them before they check-in. hehe. I just hope my dad is feeling better after his surgery.  I love flight instructing, flying the seminole, and flying the 727! So, this semseter won't be so bad once I get used to having 4 exams in one week again. Working at Potbelly's is going well too! Hopefully I get a raise soon! Been thinking to going back to teaching English as a second language. I really loved doing it so I think I will. I'm trying to develop a trial program on helping people become accustomed to life in the US. Wish me luck! Capt'n was here this weekend! Oh how I miss his witty ways. haha. Hopefully I'll get to see him more soon by going to visit Louisville! Unfortuantely, I didn't get to see him much cause I wasn't feeling all that great last night...boo.  Well, that's the update. | Another weekend has come and gone. The Distinguished Alumni was fun as well as the Relay for life. Unfortunately, the realities of the upcoming week are coming fast with three exams and an FAA written.
I've been thinking a lot lately about everything: family, friends, relationships, religion, school, hobbies, you name it. It seems that too many of us are caught up in the "whatever works for me" mind set.
In religion: We tend to fluff off traditions we feel are not necessary and criticize traditions that are not our own, especially religious holidays. The respect for others is completely lacking in this area. Traditions are based off of personal sentimental ideas by one person and have been instilled in their followers or children/grandchildren, etc. Why question every single ritual or tradition in another faith? Why not just respect what feels natural to other person? It may hold some personal significance and that cannot be changed. So don't even bother to try and change them. If you're a Christian, you should be accepting of others and not judge them. If you do this, to many others you are just going against what you say you believe.
In relationships: People are staying in relationships because they say it works for them. BIG RED FLAG. You should want to pursue that relationship and want that future, no matter if there is a time when it doesn't work for you. Hard times come and more often than not, the better comes after the worse. Get over it. Relationships require work mixed in with the fun and love and incredible feelings. Relationships are a compromise. They also require you to put the other person first before what you may want to do from time to time. Consider the other person and what they are feeling and/or thinking. You may have to sacrifice, but it's a sacrifice you're willing to make for love. Too many people want the relationship and not the person. As soon as it doesn't work, they get a new one. My advice, know what you want and don't settle for anything less.
In school: People take the classes that work for them. Usually this means little or no extra work. Why are you in school again? We're paying to learn; so let's do that. If we keep a narrow focus on what we know, then we'll never actually know anything. How can you have an argument without any evidence? You need to know all about whatever it may be you're discussing in order to defend your idea. Having a little bit of knowledge about many different things makes you a more useful and interesting person than someone who only knows about one thing.
With Friends: I've seen too many friendships fall apart because "it just didn't work for them." Well, things don't always go our way. Friendships are relationships and require work from time to time by both parties. Don't sit there and wait for the other person to call you. Be the bigger man/woman. A famous quote says, "Our relations are the family we're born with. Our friends are the family we choose." Please treat your family with respect, kindness, and thoughtfulness.
While I'm still on top of my soapbox here I just want to say that I am far from perfect and often have fallen into this very trap. To those I may have hurt, I'm sorry. I have tried to treat the ones I love with the respect and thoughtfulness that I want them to treat me with. This is my "ideal" that I try to live by. Ok, so I'm getting off of my soapbox now. These ramblings are just some thoughts pertaining to many issues I am dealing with and have seen recently. Take it for what it's worth.
