| ExuberantI ran the Palo Alto Moonlight Race tonight--the 10k one. I not only set a PR but beat last year's time by over 8.5 minutes. I was praying that I would finish the race without getting hurt--the ground was wet from the rain--and that I would set a PR. Needless to say, I'm filled with joy and am very grateful for God's love. He not only answered my prayers but also answered them in abundance.
My time this year ended up being 58 minutes and 38 seconds by my watch. Although it's a slow time in general, it's faster than I can imagine myself running. I'm exuberant and very thankful to the Lord.

| Sad NewsLike kachiu, I didn't learn of the news of the Virginia Tech shooting until late Monday night. (I no longer look at news as much at work these days.) And I didn't really read up on the news until today. It's just really sad. I especially feel for the parents of the shooter. I can't imagine what they're going through right now, and there must be so much social pressure on them, too. As we remember to pray for the victims' families, friends, and other students, we can pray for the shooter's family, too. This whole ordeal is just so sad.
