  • Well we survived another campout!  I did get a few pictures but not many.  For the most part I seemed to have forgotten the fact that I had a camera while I was there.  First picture is of Justin's foot.  He is modeling the "campout look for feet."  I'm sure everyone who was or has ever been there can relate.

This is why some of us resort to tennies.

Here are Justin (owner of the foot) and Zach waiting for the weiner roast to begin.

Two people whom I dearly love, Norm and Mary Jo.

That pretty much does it for my pictures.  We had a good trip both directions and a good time while we were there-despite the rain.  The sunny days were absolutely beautiful.  The kids had a great time.  But as nice as it is to get away, it's always better to come home.  We're enjoying all the luxuries of home which feels like a palace after a week in the camper!

  • Kyle is about half way through his track season but has only had three track meets so far.  Lucky for all of you, I remembered to take my camera to the last one!  I wanted a picture of Kyle jumping over a hurdle but he was always running toward the east over the hurdles, which means I had to point my camera to the west to try to get a picture--right into the sun.  I did take a picture of him jumping over the hurdle (or so I thought) but he wasn't anywhere to be found in the picture, so I guess you'll have to wait for that one.  (Did you know being electronically challenged carries over into picture taking also?)

Here he is taking off in the 400 meter hurdles.  I think he placed third.i-35 track meet 017

That's him at the bottom of this picture landing in the long jump.  He placed 3rd.

And here is Jordan in her usual state of boredom at the track meet.

  • Kyle is having some friends over tonight (five to be exact) so since I'll be up for awhile I thought I might try to add a picture or something exciting like that!  We'll start out with a picture of Kyle and his friends who went outside to play with their airsoft guns in the rain tonight.  Aren't they attractive in their protective eyewear?  Thank goodness they had it on.  One of them handed one of my daughters (who shall remain nameless to protect her identity) their gun and told her to shoot it.  And she proceeded to hit one of the boys right on the bridge of the nose!  And he was even standing a ways off!    I'm not sure how Kyle talks me into these things!  (By the way, Kyle is the one in shorts.)

  • Hello everyone!  Some people (Sharon) think I need to put a blog on here since I've been a member since January and it's now March.  The trouble is I'm electronically challenged.  And while those snow covered branches on my sight are lovely, I don't know how they got there and I can't figure out how to change them to a more spring like picture.  I'll have to ask my 11 year old!  I'm sure she will know!  (I was assured this whole Xanga thing was very simple and if the kids could figure it out, I could figure it out.  The trouble is I don't feel like sitting here until I get it figured out!)
