| My breath fogged up the glass, so I drew a new face and I laughedDue to reading a friend's blog, I have been inspired to re- start. I don't know how long I'll stay inspired for, but I'm doing it now until I'm all inspired out. Not much to report, just normal everyday uni. I have a 2000 word psych essay about social networks due next Friday, the day after AA ball. What a treat! But quite honestly I'm looking forward to it- it should be a fun essay to write seeing as I'm actually interested in social psychology. That's what I'm doing this weekend. Anywho, I have seriously nothing to write. Which is probably why this blog is failing, just like so many of our old xanga comrades. Love, Auds | | |
| Oh the places we'll go...On my travels to London, Switzerland and Paris, I encounted some rather strange and unusual things... Paris didn't have anything funny, but it did have... Tiny little crabs! I actually didn't eat it.. someone else did... ain't it cute?
Lausanne, Switzerland. It's a beautiful place. Fairytale kingdom. Funny signs though...
London underground. All we ever heared over the PA system is "Please mind the gap between the train and the platform." Doesn't seem funny now, but...
Huge g-string in a souvenier shop. =D
And for those of you who can't see it... Once again, London. Enough said. And so ends my regulatory xanga entry!
| The truth is, we never grow up. Instead of fighting about who gets to play With the building blocks, We fight the building blocks and challenge each other to Come out the other side in one Emotionally stable piece. "Somewhere along this winding road we lost the trust" | | |
| As you go through life, You meet many people. And the description list for a first impression of these people, Is always the same: Ugly, beautiful, arrogant, confident and shy, just to name a few.
Expectations also fit into a box. There's underestimating and overestimating. But the unknown expectation, the one people think they may consciously have, is apathy. However, when it comes to expectations, apathy doesn't exist. It's either you're let down or you're not. Unfortunately, your first impression and the expectation which follows isn't always accurate. But sometimes it is. You can change an expectation to a higher or a lower one, But a first impression will always stay the same. This is where the trouble starts. A first impression, whether favourable or not can change with just the slightest deviation in a person's demeanour. The expectation which comes with this is then greatly depended on and referred to when needed. With deeper understanding about a person comes a more accurate conclusion: Did you change your mind too quickly, Or were you correct to change your position? The only answer to these questions is time. And effort. If you make the effort to find out, then with time you will. The answer may devastate you, bring joy to you, or leave you puzzled. Although it will answer that niggling question:
Was your first impression right all along.
