It's a sad day for Taiwan...

Taiwan was fortunate to have such an honest, respectable politician (*gasp* those two words can actually precede the word politician?!) who had Taiwan's best interests in mind running for president.  Unfortunately, Frank Hsieh and the DPP (the green party) lost the election.

Through bribery, intimidation, control of Taiwan's top media companies, and exploitation of voter ignorance, the KMT's Ma Ying-jeou won.  Shame on you BBC News & NY Times...for painting Ma Ying-jeou as this wonderful guy.  It's all BS.  Where do you get your information from?  Someone obviously didn't spend much time researching the issue.  Ma Ying-jeou has already hinted in many ways that he plans to sell out to China.  I mean he and other top KMT officials are already in bed w/ the Chinese government.  Watch him jeopardize Taiwan's autonomy as he promotes his own self interests.  And since he and his family have green cards...it'll be easy for him to take bribes from China, fuck up Taiwan, and then leave for asylum in the US.

China's brutal crackdown in Tibet is a bloody reminder of what could happen in the future to Taiwan.  The US State Department recently removed China from the list of the world's worst countries for human rights violations...what a joke.  I guess torturing members of the Falun Gong and shooting Tibetan protesters "like dogs"  AREN'T severe enough violations of human rights.  http://www.abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=4468783&page=1

Someone please explain to me how removing China from the list makes ANY SENSE WHATSOEVER?!

ps. Since the US even bothered to create a list...it should go ahead and add itself to the countries with "poor human rights" list...

"Shame on you all making jokes about this article - I was hit with a baguette once and it really hurt, in fact I was quite badly injured. I was bread ridden for a few days but really kneaded to get back to work cos I was low on dough." ahaha oh the punniness.

I just realized i didn't write any entries in 2007. O_o
