| | Faire TimeSorry that I haven't been around but it's faire time around here. Scarborough Faire to be exact. It's the Dallas area's Renaissance Festival and I devote two months of my time to it.

It's been quite an experience juggling my Scarby schedule with Wally World. In fact, Gary drives as I do my best to undress and redress into my more 'mundane' clothing. Scarborough, unlike Houston's Texas Renaiisance Festival, doesn't have camp sites next to the faire grounds. We have to stay at a friend's place in about a half hour away. So basically my schedule is pack the van for Scarby, work Walmart, run like mad to Waxahachie(where Scarborough is held), set up camp, try to get some rest, take down camp, go to Scarby, run like mad to get BACK to Walmart and finish work around 11pm. Pass out for 2 days!
Some might ask why I do it. It's fun dammit. If you had seen how my house is decorated you would understand why! I've worked Renaiisance faires for over 20 years now and don't think I could ever give it up.
I'm already putting in time off to go to the Texas Ren. Festival in October.
See you soon!
