If I can right the wrongs that made you cry... would you promise not to say goodbye?

Two weeks into the fall quarter and it's kinda depressing really. The weather here is getting cold and windy, and showers are occuring often. Many days I'm drenched upon returning home. One day, as luck would have it I didn't carry an umbrella. It rained so hard that I could see my glasses and had to clean them multiple times. The rain even soaked through my backpack and got papers on the inside of my binder wet. Latest news, the parents and my brother visited me this past week. Although, I didn't really get to enjoy their presence because all we did was buy and put together new furniture for the condo. I swear it looks just like a kiddy/hotel room now. On one hand you got your childish decorations and on the other you got the professional desks and bookshelves. The guest room highly resembles a typical hotel room which is quite amusing.

Ok so with college life, it's getting pretty bad for me. Believe it or not, I'm already start to skip some of my lectures. They're boring and everytime I do attend, I tend to just work on homework or self-study and within minutes I'm falling asleep. Chemistry is a bore, I can't understand my calculus professor, and my programming professor doesn't really care if I skip or not. Yeah, but this is a good thing as I usually spend this time at the library doing homework so all productiveness is not lost. The extra time really does help me out as it allows more free time to do nothing at home.

Honestly, I haven't been playing any games or max tuning as of late. Just the occasional session on Guitar Hero. Most of my time has become devoted to schoolwork. Calculus gives a mountainload of work. Although recently, I did buy Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS. While this game was a fun experience, it did not last long. I beat this game 100% within a few hours of playing, and the mini-games did not provide much replay value, didn't live up to what I thought when I was obsessed with this game nearly ten years ago.

Final note, a quick shoutout to both Anthony (Sept 28) and Mabel (Sept 29) for turning eighteen. A happy, happy birthday to both of you!!! Hope you guys enjoyed the gifts.

Make a whole new religion. A falling star you cannot live without...

And I'll feed your obsession. There'll be nothing but this thing... That you'll never doubt.

So the first day of the fall quarter in college finally ended. First impression, I gotta say... the university was way more populated than I originally first thought. I don't know if it's just because it's the first day of school and people were lost or maybe it's because of the all the free food and drinks they were giving out at Red Square but if things stay like that. It's going to be hard going from one end of the campus to the other in ten minutes, especially when it takes three minutes just to get through the crowd to get out of the hall. If anyone wants to know my time schedule, it can be found on my Facebook under the applications tab.

Chem 142 General Chemistry - Campbell

Okay well this was the hall that took three minutes to get out of. This class was frickin' gigantic estimating probably over 200 400 students, at an 8:30 am class no less. The material highly resembles the stuff I learned from sophomore year of high school. The professor gave off a neutral first impression, not a cool professor, but not a hardass either. Then again, that was only one day so we'll see how this guy fares. I've heard this guy gives incredibly boring lectures though, still I give props to him for not choking in front of 200 400 plus students. Per week: three one hour lectures, one hour quiz section, and a three hour lab section. No doubt I'll be back to sleeping in class again...

Math 125 Calculus with Analytical Geometry II - Yuan

Alright, I don't like this guy. Pro: he's Chinese. Con: I don't understand half of what he's saying. His accent is way too tough to decipher and he doesn't exactly know how to project his voice. Now I'm not one to be ripping on an Asian, Chinese no less, but... this guy takes the cake. As for material, keep in mind I skipped the first one-third of the unit (math 124) due to the four on the AP exam. So we're starting off in chapter 5 of the textbook and I don't even know where to start. After all, who can do calculus after a year hiatus from mathematical computation (Powell's stats class does not count as math in my view)? Hopefully, I can regain my skills and confidence in the mathematical department in due time. Per week: three one hour lectures, two one hour quiz sections.

Cse 142 - Computer Programming I - Stepp

Now here's a class I'll actually be slightly interested in. After all, I plan on sticking with Computer Science as my major. This class mainly introduces everyone to Java programming. I don't know if my prior experience with Basic will help in this department, but hopefully it will play a part. As for the professor, he's a pretty cool guy. The youngest professor in the department so he cracks a genuine joke here and there (centered his example program around Borat). Hellbent on getting everyone to friend him on Facebook (apparently wants to be the most popular professor in the entire school). This guy co-wrote the textbook we're working with so I found that pretty cool. Although, I did fall asleep during the lecture today... we'll just call it exhaustion. Per week: three one hour lectures, one hour quiz section.

Lately, I've been spending my time playing Guitar Hero, which I borrowed from my cousin. I haven't played a lot lately so unfortunately, it's still not something to brag about. Another title I'm playing, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology for the PSP. For anyone who has played practically any game in the Tales series, This game is basically a fanservice game, basically putting various characters from all the games together just to see how they would interact with one another. The plot is not that memorable and the mechanics and visuals were basically ripped off from Tales of the Abyss (a really good game by the way) so unless you're a Tales fanatic, this game is nothing to write home about.

So yeah... No job over here yet, still I remain vigilant (crosses my fingers... Gamestop). Still spending majority of my time sitting around the house thinking about what to eat for my next meal. I have been eating out a lot so I'm kinda familiarized with the area. It is getting cold around here and it has been raining a lot, typical Seattle weather I suppose. In my spare time, I've kept myself busy watching anime, Lost, and the Office. Unfortunately, I've caught myself up with all of that so... I don't know what to do anymore. Max Tune?!?!

Can one's heartfelt confession reach even the brightest of stars? I'd like to think so.

Edit: Raymond reminded me to add an entry about the last day of my recent visit to Vegas. Since my last entry left off right before then. So the day mainly consisted of a lot of Max Tuning. I set a new personal record on the Osaka course with my mr2 "PNUTS", which meant an even better #1 ranked record time. Funny thing was that was the first time I've ever used the mr2 in MT3 so that was really cool. The events that happened afterward pissed me off on so many levels. So Raymond had to run an errand, getting rid of three items: Love Hina 13 manga, PSP media manager disc, and an e-reader (that ancient game boy advance attachment where you swipe cards). And he didn't know how to get rid of them other than donating it. He was too lazy to sell them online. So we headed to the Spring Valley Library to donate the LH manga. So I blurted out a silly thought, why doesn't he just donate them all to the library. It would save time I was thinking. I didn't think Raymond would actually do it though. He wound up dropping all three items into the book return dropbox. I got so pissed at that, first off, the LH manga wasn't even registered in the library system, and secondly, a PSP disc and an e-reader DO NOT belong in a book return box. Finally, while I guess the library should be grateful for the donation, that means more work for them because now they have to get rid off it and give it to the correct people. So after many cursing remarks, we wound up going back to the Orleans later for more Max Tuning, later joined by the others. I ran into Nick coincidently. I haven't seen him all week but he seemed well. We later ate at Shuseki, which was a neat experience and stopped by Desert Avenue. The end of the day was spent at Joe's house where a group of us spent a few hours just talking, which was quite pleasant. On a side note, locking Raymond out of Joe's house while the rest of us went to Albertson's was the best part of my day, that along with setting the Osaka record with the card name "PNUTS," yeah that's for you, China, enjoy it (that time will be on the machine forever, I guarantee it).

So past few weeks have been okay. Same old, same old everyday. I wake up go to class, which is a seminar class that's quite of the norm. Digital Improvisation it's called. Basically all we do in there is manipulate audio and graphic files on the computer using a program called Pure Data (Pd) if anyone has heard of it, though I doubt it. But it's a pretty easy class, the teacher is pretty loose, but he's got a hella strong accent so sometimes I don't know what the hell he's saying (sub patch => soup patch xD). But yea, Monday through Thursday 9:30 to 12:00 which isn't bad at all. I'm still looking for a job though, so it leaves me with A LOT of free time.

Just today, I went all the way to Tukwila (another city) for the first time so I could frickin' play Max Tune 3. I had to endure an hour of bus riding and two buses to get there to a bowling alley. It was dumb though because I got there at 2 pm. The bowling alley was closed though, it opened at 3 pm. What kind of bowling alley opens at 3 pm anyways? So I had to spend an hour. I wound up eating chicken nachos at Qdoba and then exploring the mall across the street. Now here's the thing, a few minutes after I entered, the mall announced that they had a fire hazard so everyone had to evacuate the building. Here's the thing, no one outside of the mall could hear the announcement, so people kept entering it anyways (Guess they didn't notice the huge mobs of people exiting).

(Max Tune section) So after all the excitement, I left the mall and it just happened to hit 3 o' clock. So at the bowling alley, the machines weren't connected which meant no VS battling. No one was there to battle anyway, a few people watched, but everyone that came was playing Initial D 4. So I spent my time doing time trials, where I used my newly acquired unshaded R33 (It was a bitch getting this unshaded on MT2) to nab the #1 Wangan Eastbound time, and my mr2 "PNUTS" to set the #1 Osaka time (of course). I nearly got the Yokohane Downward record with my Evo IX, losing by .11 seconds, and ranked third. All the top records were pretty tough though, the records here were overall better than the times back in Vegas (some put my records on the Orleans machines to shame). Some a few seconds better than my best times, which is crazy (C1, and Hakone by a long shot). Afterwards, another tiring hour of bus riding (paradox?) to finally return home. Had a little trouble to find the bus stop to get back and missed two buses because of that, meaning yet another hour lost to find a frickin' bus stop.

Other things I did, I saw Pineapple Express finally. Honestly, it was hillarious, but the thing is that you won't even recall what the jokes in the movie were. Almost as if you yourself were stoned during the movie. You're only gonna remember that the main plot and that it was funny. I swear the only line I remember clearly in that movie: "I thought hurricane season was over." After that, I saw College. Oh my god, DO NOT watch that movie. Of course, it overexaggerates college life on a huge level. It was complete waste of an hour and a half. I wanted my money back, and I didn't even pay for the movie. And I've seen some bad movies (Hitcher anyone?).

Alright, so that's what's been happening in the past two weeks. To all my buddies in Vegas, hope you all got accustomed to college life. Although, from what I've heard from many of you, life hasn't changed significantly from high school. But nonetheless, keep living life. Remember that I'd always enjoy a chat with you guys, there's always AIM, my cell phone has not changed, and there's even Facebook now. It'll definitely brighten up my day.

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,

It helps to think we’re sleeping underneath the same big sky.

And boy has this summer flown by or what? School starts next week, what a bitch. But a small part of me is looking foward to finally starting my college career and starting a new chapter in life. So everyone can have fun resetting their internal body clocks because god knows I can barely wake up before noon. However, that is not to say I won't cherish what this summer has brought me... and what it has not brought me. I want a frickin' PS3 and Soul Calibur IV. Is that so much to ask for? Then again, perhaps it is.

This week was spent visiting friends and family back in Vegas. And it's true, not a lot has changed in two months. Everyone's working nnowadays so practically all of my days have been spent with Raymond (Good luck on getting that hospital job!). I managed to spend a crapload of money here this week, which includes a lot of dining out, a lot of sushi, and a lot of boba drinks. A lot of time has been spent catching up on Max Tune 3, which I have not been able to play since I last left Vegas. Needless to say, I did accomplish some things, improving a few of my top times on the time trial leaderboards, which surprisingly did not significantly change either. I got to see Mirrors and Tropic Thunder, which were both great in their own aspects by the way. So I recommend seeing those movies if you haven't already. I finally actually visited Red Rock, which is amazing considering my living in Vegas for twelve years. The twelve mile scenic drive, in my opinion, was a huge waste of gas on Raymond's part, but we did get some really good photo opportunities so we did gain something. I also managed to finally trade in my incredibly battery drained Nintendo DS (My fully charged battery can't even last half an hour!), exchanging it for a Limited Edition Pokemon DS Lite, and oh my god, it looks so frickin' sexy.

I shudder to think what will happen on my last day here before I leave for college. Perhaps nothing will happen, that's a scarier thought, how anticlimatic. All in all, it was good visiting everyone, I've yet to see everyone I wanted to see, but I have hung out with nearly everybody at least once (hopefully the rest will make an appearance today), some more than others. And after all this, I'll be sure to miss Vegas that much more when I leave once again. I'll miss my family, my friends, the food, Max Tune 3. But most of all... I'll miss the precious moments I spent with you.

So spend the last few days of summer vacation living it up. And I'll wish everyone luck, including myself, on surviving college. I'll be taking chem and calc this upcoming fall quarter, so don't hesitate to ask me any questions on that stuff, regardless of whether I can help or not. A friendly chat wouldn't hurt either. And if anyone plans on having a vacation anytime soon, might I suggest visting me up in Seattle? Well that's it for my post from Vegas. Peace out!

So lonely is the night... without you to hold me tight.

So these past couple of weeks have not been eventful. Bad news, I rejected from Bank of America for employment (gasp). I know WTF right? Well I recently just submitted an application to Gamestop so we'll see how that goes right? Honestly, I feel really bad for living off my parents and I need something to do. I also want to save up money to get a PS3, Soul Calibur IV anyone?

It's odd, since I've gotten my Driver's License, I haven't driven a car. Not that I need to anyways, with today's gas prices, I'd happily take the bus if it means saving money at this point of independent living. It does take forever to get from point A to point B though, especially on weekends, where many bus routes do not operate. It takes hours to get to my cousin's house by bus compared to a twenty minute car drive. This also means that if I do get a job, travel time will be inconsistent, meaning I'll have to take extra time to get to work. Thank god for public transportation nonetheless right? Thinking of the reduced rate of pollution makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

So I finally finished Final Fantasy Tactics A2, now I'm replaying FFX-2. An old game that goes a few years back, I never did get that coveted 100% completion rate, I'm currently stuck at 99%. So I'm playing it all over again to pass the time, that and a little Brawl here and there. Of course with Gameworks only a bus ride away it's hard to resist going there too, if only they had Max Tune 3. I found out that the nearest location that has MT3 is an hour minimum bus ride with two transfers. It is a twenty minute drive in my imaginary car though.

School for me starts on the 25th, a few weeks from now. I'm taking a class called Digital Improvisation as an early fall start class, a month long class that is taken before the fall quarter, which then I'll be taking Chem 142, and Math 125 results in 17 credits by the end of fall. Of course, that won't stop me from making the most out of my remaining summer vacation right!?!?!?! BTW, notice the new festive profile pic? Code Geass for the win!!!

Seven days await...
