Hi Everyone,
I'd like to extend an invitation for anyone who reads my blog to check out my website, KaZuum.
What it is: KaZuum is the natural evolution of online marketplaces - marrying the best of idea like Craigslist, Ebay, and Social Networking into a usable and trusted environment. We take the listing system of Craiglist, add the usual web 2.0 accoutrements - maps, chat, ajax. Then we use Ebay's feedback system so you can know who people are and trust them based on history. We then throw in a social network to let you constrain searches and increase trust - e.g. Only let people 3 social hops away from me find me...or How many degrees of separation away are they?
What you can do: In its current version, KaZuum lets you post and find services that you need done, as well as find and provide things you can do. It's trying to turn the whole "flip though yellowpages" or "google for this" world on its head, specializing in intelligent and efficient searching. If you can't find something, post it up, and let people find you to provide you the service.
How it does this: You can post a service that you can do- people can then find you, as well as know who you are relative to them in a social environment. Let's say you know someone named Jackie, who washes cars after work. I need a car washed. I can search and find them through you, our mutual friend. In this way I would feel safer knowing that I know Jackie through You, a friend I can trust.
Anyone can use KaZuum, and right now I encourage anyone who reads my blog to visit it and help me roll it out. If you're looking for some spare change, want to help out your neighbor, or have a skill / trade that you can advertise--we're trying to help you find customers. If you have that project you're putting off, something that you need help moved, or need to clean your bathroom but don't have time to call up 8 people in the phone book and sort through them, we're here to help you get things done.
Thanks for your time, hope you see you on the site!
cheers
-alex
P.S. Pirates and Ninjas are definitely welcome.
