The Xangapedia.

This is the first edition of the Xangapedia, a compendium of all words Xanga. Extensive research has gone into this effort to identify, list, and define the many real and unreal "Xangisms". Hours of websearching, copy/pasting, research (whoops, I already said that) and typing has gone into this particular entry in hopes that it gets lots of stars, recommends, eprops, comments, referrals, rereadings, and chuckles, and eventually ends up in the top five on the main page of Xanga in order to increase my readership and make me lots of new friends. (No, that's not it. This is an academic exercise engineered to help Xangans utilize proper speech.) The Xangapedia doesn't recognize AnY weiRd TyPiNg whiCH alTeRNateS caPital LettErs and LoWer CAse in OrdEr to driVe thE rEaDer BlinD. Please help compile upcoming editions by adding any words you think should be included in the next edition of the Xangapedia. Comments are provided immediately after the xangapost. Entries are listed alphabetically. (In case any one is wondering, I couldn't figure out a good way of writing "Xangdictionary" and "Xangapedia" rolls off the tongue a bit better. (For those old enough to remember, just picture Jiminy Cricket singing "X-a-n-g-a-pedia")

xanquil / xang·quil [ZANG-kwil]

xattoo / xat·too  [ZA-too]

1. the act or practice of marking the skin with indelible images of the Xanga logo by making punctures in it and inserting pigments. 
2. an image of the Xanga logo, so made.

xanger / xan·ger [ZANG-ger]

EDIT 7:40p.m. pdt. I can't stop myself. Here's another one. I write such xangawful long entries that anyone who started reading this when I posted hasn't gotten to the bottom yet, so here is another entry for the Xangapedia.

xangratiating / xang-ra-ti-a-ting [xan-GREY-shee-ey-ting]

1. charming; agreeable; pleasing. 
2. deliberately meant to gain favor.
"Baldmike2004 has reached xangratiating heights with the Xangapedia blog entry."

SECOND EDIT: 7:43p.m. pdt. I knew something was wrong. In the entry for Xanga, the amount of users should have been 40 million instead of 2.5. Xanga please forgive me! MFN/ppf

THIRD EDIT: 3/28 6:32a.m. pdt. I've received quite a lot of excellent words for inclusion in the second edition, far too many to list here. So be sure and subscribe so you get the updates on when I post the second edition. I'll include your links and give you credit. There seems to be a dispute over the etymology of the word "xangalebrity". I'm sure I've seen this word used often in the past. Walter (eadie) claims credit for the word, because of his 3/20/08 entry in the Urban Dictionary. Remy (porcupinesol) disputes this claim. Further research finds the word in usage in Norimoto's (Amandasbiggestfan) 2/27/08 entry on Xanga, which includes some other words which warrant inclusion in the xangapedia. Even earlier, Absolute Angel (absolutangel64) wrote a featured entry on 2/18/08 titled "I'm a Xangalebrity." The earliest instance of usage of the word made in searches this morning was found in a comment by Vocalistic on  greggorant's 2/17/07 entry. So I think the word has been around for a while. BTW, I'm in the top spot on the front page of Xanga, as I intended when writing this entry, so I'm xangrateful for all of you xangitizens who gave me enough xangstars (not to be confused with xangstaz) ,xangeprops. and xangarecommends.
