Barlow Dance Team Updates! We know the summer time can be crazy for most of us, so we didn’t want to plan a meeting but we do want to touch base with everyone on some of the upcoming events that we have just around the corner. Payment for Camp Balance - $105 is Due - July 15th Please make your checks payable to SBHS Dance and send them with your dancer to technique class. Erin will be there to collect these that day. If you have questions or if you have a balance in your dancer’s account that you would like to use please let us know we do not deduct from their accounts automatically unless you clear it with us. 1st Team Carwash! Saturday, July 19th @ Firestone in Gresham 2105 NE Burnside, Gresham 97030 from 9:30am – 2:00pm. This is a REQUIRED team fundraiser, all dancers must attend so plan accordingly. We also need 3-4 parent volunteers for this event. Bethany and Erin are both scheduled to be out of town that weekend. Please e-mail or call us if you are interested. The car washes are usually a pretty good money maker for us so the more help the better! The team has most of the supplies already, however if you have an extra hose that we could use for the day that would be helpful. Technique Classes @ Dance Vision – Tuesdays 4-5:30pm So far the technique classes have been going great! While they are a little bit challenging, the girls seem to be learning a lot of skills that we can use through out the season which is wonderful. Also, if you by chance owe a balance to Dance Vision please make sure to pay this as soon as possible. If you need to set up a payment plan with them please let them know, they are usually pretty flexible with stuff like this but please communicate this with them. We are going for 10 weeks so the last class date will be Tuesday, August 19th. Erin and Bethany will be at these classes frequently to check on the girls’ progress; however we may not be at every single class. 1st half of the Sponsorship Payment is Due – August 7th $150.00 must be in each dancers account by the first day of camp. This can come from company/friends and family sponsorships or through a payment from you. Please make sure your dancers are walking into businesses with their sponsor letters. Face to face contact is the best way to build a relationship with a business. If you need more copies or have misplaced yours let us know. Please have the payments, sponsor receipts and if you can, their business card ready to turn in at the 1st day of dance camp. NWDC – Dance Camp! August 7th, 8th and 9th @ Gresham High School Camp is from 10am – 5pm on Thursday and Friday and from 10am – 2pm on Saturday. More details about the schedule will come at a later date, but plan to have your dancer at Gresham High School by 9:45am each day. It would be probably be easiest if we got a carpool figured out for these days, so start looking into this now. Erin will make sure that we get your camp clothes, dance sneakers, team bags and team sweatshirts to you before the first day of camp. Please make sure that if you owe money for any of these items that you get this paid as soon as possible, you will not receive them until they are paid for.
