And the winner is....

I've just had a little bet on Steph (£10 @ 16/1) and Nush (£20 @ 13/2) to win the series. These two haven't pulled in many nominations. I think they'll be there until the last few and they stand a good chance against some of the more boorish male contestants.

In case you hadn't already guessed.

I'm fairly sure it is Fed (£50 at 1/2) for the chop as 4th evictee closely followed by Cameron as 5th. It'll be nice to see the gender balance evened up a bit. I'm already wondering who will be nominated next week what with this mass cull of healthy young males.

A bit fair at BetFair

Remember my bet on Cameron to be nominated? You'd think I'd be happy - but Betfair altered the rules slightly to reflect the new nomination process and have decided that...based on the old rules, Cameron wouldn't have been nominated and so I lose my bet. It's a bad call from them, my bet was placed knowing that more than two people might be nominated by whatever process - I'm a bit miffed at their decision. Some other punter wins though, and is probably laughing. Is it fair? It's a bit Fair.

Some nice nomination odds

Jon's a certainty again. He got as many nominations as Fed and Sissy put together last time round. Odds are 40p in the pound on him to be nominated. I've got £50 on this one.

Less likely, but still possible - Cameron at 3/1 and Steph again at 10/1. I've got £10 and £30 on these respecively. Fed looks like bad value at 35/100 - one of his nominations last time round was from Sissy who isn't there to nominate him again. Nominations don't change much from here on in. If they voted for them last week, the chances are, if they are still in the house, they'll vote for them again.

I didn't put anything on the eviction on Friday. To be honest this year's show is as boring as anything and I'm finding it difficult to watch. The bets on the noms were okay and the totals are now.

Scott 66/1 for next eviction

I think it is easy to confuse popularity outside the house with popularity inside the house. I've just placed £2 odd on Scott to be the next evictee at 66/1. I think there is every chance he'll be nominated. If he is, then the nightly shows will focus on him in a way that they haven't up till now, accentuating his foibles and underlining his faults. Scott may be popular now, but the camera shows you what it wants you to see, and it wants you to vote, so it'll show you the worst.

I Can't Call It!

I can't call the next eviction and even the nominations are troublesome. Jon is up (and so is my bank balance, £40 at 1/2). Two outsiders that might be up are Scott (£3 at 18-1) and Steph (£3 at 17-1). I think they are kind of similar, so naturally, they hate each other. Those two will again vote for each other, and if they can pick up another one or two votes they're good to go.

The Bookies Called It

The bookies knew the outcome of this one. I was going to have a last minute bet on Jon to be evicted, but decided I was heavily enough invested in that outcome already (I stood to win £200).

Current Standing...

Won (Previously £28)
Justine for second eviction £10 (2/1) - £20 won

Lost (Previously £7)
£20 on Jon for second eviction (10/1)
£5 on Cameron for second eviction (14/1)

Undecided (£120)

Overall it's still looking good, but I'm disappointed about Justine's eviction tonight. I'm starting to like Jon more now though. It's his way.

I think I'll put a bet on tommorrow just before eviction time - I think that's when the odds will be at their best for the nominee that I have in mind.
