Bye bye, Xanga.  Hello, Blogger.  My new blog is at http://bbyrd.blogspot.com.  Enjoy!

Today was my last day of class at Baylor.  It feels like we still have about 6 weeks left.  Really I'm done for good on Saturday.  That's 5 days away.  Not 6 weeks.  Crazy.  I turned in my econometrics paper today.  Yay!  And my data supported my hypothesis, so even better.  (In case you were wondering, there is evidence to support the hypothesis that there are agglomeration economies in the ski industry, though a resort's lift capacity is likely a better estimator of skier visits.)

The Canyons, Utah
Easter 2006

I love The Canyons - airport to lift in an hour.

Jack

I got to see the You Can Die sign!  And I skiied down from it...kind of.

Eh - wasn't that big a deal for Jack...he's been here before.

My ski chair at the top of the ridge.  We soon realized it was 3pm.  And the lift closed at 3.  So we had to head down kind of quickly.

Good day.

Yeah, pretty sure this was steeper than it looks.  But the natural half-pipe was coming up!

The other thing I love about The Canyons - last day of the season and we still had first traks.  And a giant snow ball.

Until next year...

Nothing to Say - Andrew Peterson

Hey, Jamie, would you mind
Driving down this road a while
Arizona's waiting on these eyes
Rich is on the radio
And I think we ought to take it slow
Arizona's caught me by surprise

Hey, Jamie, have you heard
A picture paints a thousand words
But the photographs don't tell it all
I see the eagle swim the canyon sea
Creation yawns in front of me
Oh Lord, I never felt so small

And I don't believe that I believed
In You as deeply as today
I reckon what I'm saying is
There's nothing more
Nothing more to say

And the mountains sing Your glory hallelujah
The canyons echo sweet amazing grace
My spirit sails
The mighty gales are bellowing
Your name
And I've got nothing to say
No, I've got nothing to say

Hey, Jamie, do you see
I'm broken by this majesty
So much glory in so little time
So turn off the radio
Let's listen to the songs we know
All praise to Him who reigns on high

And I don't believe that I believed
In You as deeply as today
I reckon what I'm saying is
There's nothing more
Nothing more to say

And the mountains sing Your glory hallelujah
The canyons echo sweet amazing grace
My spirit sails
The mighty gales are bellowing
Your name
And I've got nothing to say
No, I've got nothing to say

Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah, hallelujah

And the mountains sing Your glory hallelujah
The canyons echo sweet amazing grace
My spirit sails
The mighty gales are bellowing
Your name
And I've got nothing to say
No, I've got nothing to say

Hey, Jamie, would you mind
Driving down this road a while
Arizona's caught me by surprise
