| long time no update, guys. xanga even looks different to me. but anyway... DRUM CORPS fall comp is in 14 days. i am so excited/nervous/happy/sad/worried. there's nothing like all those feelings mushed into one, and knowing this is my last fall comp ever. i honestly have to say, drum corps allowed me to work extremely hard for one thing that meant so much to 23 people. there's nothing like it in the world. drum corps is unique, and so is everyone on the team. and once you're in, you're basically in for life. there's no erasing all those memories where we wore trash bags out in the rain, hugged that first place trophy like there is no tomorrow, and ate korean sushi till we wanted to puke. it's all so lovely. but it is the last 14 days of my career in drum corps, and every single person that is and has been on drum corps has made me grow in a different way. thank you guys. i love you all so much <3 SENIOR BOAT by far, one of the best dances i have been to, and probably one of the best dances i will ever go to. the view was beautiful, and the weather was very pleasing. and on top of that, sharing it with my favorite person made it the best night ever. even though we weren't exactly sailing into the sunset, sailing was all i needed. <3

| so august 2 was free for all day. I'd say it was fun. I was suppose to go to the zoo, but change of plans at like 11 pm. So I said, "screw volunteering, since it's only going to be two hours." So I didn't go. hahaha. No big deal, they have too many volunteers over there anyway.
So I stay at home until like 12. And Ray calls me like a bunch of times and I got to talk to Susan, who knows McNancy. Who lives 5 blocks away from me. Coolios. It's such a small world. She convinces me to go to the zoo, and I was about to go, until we all got delayed because William lives really, really far away from Bright/Aquarium. And then before going to the Steinhart Aquarium, we also have to go with Bright to get his new retainers. Since William and I got to Geary and 10th before Bright did, we went into Mattress Discounters and checked out their many beds. LoLx. They had some really weird spring sample. But it was interesting. Then we meet up Anthony.
Anthony, Pamela, Bright, William, and I, finally got on the bus, going to the aquarium, our original destination. We get to the Aquarium, which is really close to Metreon and all, and we see all these big big fishes. It was really interesting. There was a lot of hands on stuff to do. The replicated teeth were really interesting. None of us could figure out how that humongous tooth even fit in a Mammoth's gum. Then we did "quarter" racing. haha. And tried to save our coins along the way. Then we went into the gift shop, which was really entertaining. This robot claw thing was useless, but everyone seemed to love it. And this kid tried clawing me with one. I didn't even know him.
After that, we go over to Yerba Buena, the Zeum Store, the play structure with its soft mat, the food stampede, and then shopping around for nothing aka window shopping aka shopping for no reason, says Bright Zhou. hahahaha.
And that was my wednesday. 'twas fun. Practice on Friday. and SAT classes on Saturday. Great America soon! Then Sister's Birthday, followed by Cindy's Birthday, followed by Anthony's Birthday, and then SCHOOL......
| so friday, july 21, 2006 was the last Spare the Air day. after SAT classes, robert, kenneth, anthony, and bright came to fillmore to meet up with me. we were suppose to get dinner, but we were kinda running late on time. so yeah, bright kinda came for nothing.
so me, anthony, robert, and kenneth get back on the 38 to go to the Ferry Building to meet william, the early bird. then when we were almost there, jill and perriesha call to confirm that they have arrived also. so me and robert and kenneth are running like idiots on the pier because we had no idea where the ferry building was, and we thought we were gonna be late. the tourists were probably thinking, "who runs on a hot day like THIS?!" so yeah.
we find william first, cuz he's walking in our direction. then we find perriesha and jill. and THEN, we find the entrance to the ferry! we WERE at the front of the line, but because of the humongous amount of regular commuters, only 50 other passengers could board on our side. jill and perriesha got in, but we thought more ppl would get in. because before we started boarding, we were only talking about kicking one or two people off. hmph, figures. and besides, there's wayyy too many cutters in this world.
i was sad cuz i have never ridden the ferry before, and this was the last day. but it wasn't that bad. we went to In n Out for dinner, and that cost us a buncha crowding and two F's that were too crowded for us.
so we eat, and i just happened to have to clean every single table i sit at. but i give away all of them except for the last one.
then after In n Out, we go back to take the F to embarcadero, and we ride the bart. for free! it was fun and fast. then me and kenneth get off at civic center to take the N, which was still running. we encounter some drunks who didn't look THAT drunk. but they kept talking about Spare the Air day. haha. then i get home, and take my 3rd shower of the day. haha. it was THAT hot. but it was a fun day. only one more month of summer left!
