  • So really, this post is simply to replace the silly "bringing Xanga back" line that was left for me when I signed in for the first time in a while. Silly sillies, why would I want a post that sounds like a Justin Timberlake song?

  • Sometimes I'm silly and need to be reminded of how amazingly awesome God is. If you were to ask me, I'd say that I knew, 'cause I do, but sometimes it just really takes a good stir to reawaken the awe.

I think that might be why Paul wrote that we should renew our minds, and I really don't think he meant just once. yeah, probably a whole lot more often than once.

by the way, I think the word "once" looks really strange. Ever since I took spanish and had to spell eleven the same way I'd spell the word for "one time" in english, I've been a little aloof to the poor word. I feel badly. I think I'll make a conscious effort to say "once" more frequently now.

  • I finished and definitely passed two of the four AP exams I had scheduled for this year already. (Well, I most likely definitely passed the calc exam...I'm a little concerned that the test writers anticipated all of the errors I could've made...::shrug:: oh well, it's over now.)

So...that's exciting! One more step to graduation completed.

  • It occurred to me today, after reading the posts of some subscriptions, that I've lost, at least to a degree, the fun and simple, unimpeded silliness I used to have in my writing (which, by the way, is probably the most direct representation of me. I write what I can't seem to articulate in speech, so if my writing has a certain tone, that's the current tone of my person.) Part of me has given way to the cynically developed side, and, while it may be largely (and hopefully accurately) attributed to the large lack of sleep I've been allowing myself to enjoy, I just simply don't like that.

Solution: sleep more and keep better company.

Even casually spending time with certain individuals has slowly influenced the amount of joy and innocent mirth I experience on a daily basis. Just because the kids at school are close in proximity doesn't mean I should give up my standards of who I spend time with.

Resolution: I'm going to guard my heart with all diligence (that "with all" clause includes much more than the two applications I've used this bit of wisdom for in the past, I learned through suprisingly recent revelation.)

The littlest bit of bad influence can alter you the littlest bit, and the more littlest bad bits you get altered, the more littlest bits you are badder than who you were. (teehee)

Something to remind myself and everyone else reading this: the Word works. If you walk according to the Spirit, you won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Advice to myself and everyone else reading this: read the Word-it works in your life; it's living and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword.

  • Ha. I just read my last post, and I laughed at me. I got out of breath reading that in my head. No wonder I've been told I speak English like Chinese people speak Chinese. (what a simile. admirable.)

I filled out the AP answer sheets and received my first honors cord today! I can't wait to graduate! (I just realized that I'll get a cord for the business honor society, national honor society, mu alpha theta (math honor society), one for being in the top ten percent of my class, and either a pin or a cord for being a classy cat!) I think that's the closest to "bling" I'll probably ever wear. That's also probably the most nerdy thing I've ever said, come to think of it. Hm.

Anyway, I did get that $50 to the mall, a certificate for outstanding achievement in developing a focused plan for success that connects educational activities to future college and career goals (yes, straight off the paper. ),  AND a cool flippy-aroundy 1G flash drive. lol, I thought that was cool. money, an award, AND a cool flippy flash drive! ...maybe THAT was the most nerdy thing I've ever said.

I think I'll stop there, before I come up with more "most nerdy" things to say.

Except that I had a three hour conversation last night/this morning with Michael. Which is a huge deal because he hasn't made eye contact with me since the first week in February. That's cool, too.
