  • AKOUO Leadership Summit

A few notes from the AKOUO Leadership Summit.   AKOUO is Greek for "I Hear".  Click on Photos link.  Big thanks goes out to Jimmy Hyde (Dewey C of C) for organizing this awesome event Febrary 8-10, 2008.  It was like Kingdom Seekers, but it was at Camp Tulakogee near Wagoner.  The setting of AKOUO made it possible to add things like prayer walks, faith walks, and lots of really cool team building times that involved stuff like swinging from ropes, climbing walls, etc... It was a fairly small group that attended this year (lots of school conflicts), so I hope everyone tries to go next year since the date will be moved a couple of weeks earlier.

  • Camp was Awesome

    Hi Everyone!
Since myspace doesn't really work that well for me, I'm going to continue using the much more user friendly xanga.  Burnt Cabin was great again as usual.  I wrote a bulletin article about it that you can read by clicking the link below.  If you've ever been to camp you know there's no way I can really put into words what camp is like.  Let's just say our theme of Looking to Heaven in 2007 accomplished its task thanks to God and Him working through a lot of great campers and staff.  Love to all.  Barrett

About Me

  • I am a Christian. I am a husband. I am a dad. I am a youth minister... in that order. That's the order God wants for my life. I love to help young people wade through this tough time in life called adolescence. The way I see it... if we put God first... even when we have doubts about everything... God will bless us beyond what we can imagine. It's all about Him.
